We would like to ask you to arrange your own transport to Prague. We recommend booking flights and accommodation upfront as Prague is a popular destination in the summer. Right now (January), return flights to Prague from Amsterdam start at 60 EUR for the wedding weekend. There are 3 airlines operating between Amsterdam and Prague: Easyjet, KLM and Czech Airlines.
Once in Prague, you can use Uber to get to the center (400 Kč/16 EUR) in about 30 minutes, or 45 minutes with public transport - use bus 119 to get to the nearest Metro station (Nádraží Veleslavín). The tickets can be bought at the airport bus stop at a machine - 32 Kč for 90 minutes around Prague or 110 Kč/310 Kč for 1/3 days. Validate the ticket before entering the bus (but no need to touch out). Prague public transport is well setup and reliable, use Google maps or dpp.cz to navigate through the city.
The exchange rate fluctuates between 26 and 27 CZK per EUR - no need to exchange money before you come here, just take some cash out of the ATM at the airport (after you exit the baggage area) and pay virtually everywhere by card.
Prague is generally a very safe city but should you encounter any problems, call 112 for emergency services.
When travelling back to the airport, get out at the bus stop Terminál 2 (the first terminal is used for non-Schengen countries).

The Lobkowicz Palace in the Prague castle is a UNESCO World Heritage site. The palace was built in the 16th century and later redesigned in Italian style. This style can be found in the Concert Hall and the Balcony Room, whose ceilings are adorned with elaborate painted stuccowork and sumptuous frescoes by F.V. Harovník.
Nowadays it serves as a museum for the Lobkowicz collections. The Lobkowicz collections contains world-famous paintings by Bruegel, Canaletto, Velázquez and more; ceramics spanning five centuries; an exceptional collection of arms and armor; and hand-annotated manuscripts by some of the greatest composers of the 17th – 19th centuries, including Beethoven, Mozart and Haydn.
Additionally the panoramic view of Prague from the Terrace and the windows in the Imperial Hall is truly breathtaking.
Het Lobkowicz-paleis in de Praagse burcht staat op de werelderfgoedlijst van UNESCO. Het paleis is gebouwd in de 16e eeuw en later verbouwd in Italiaanse stijl. The stylish Art Nouveau Palace Hotel is located on the edge of Old and New Town, in the very heart of Prague. Old Town Square with historical Astronomical Clock, Charles Bridge, Wenceslas Square, Jewish Quarter Josefov or Palladium shopping center can all be reached with a few minutes of walking. České svatby jsou formální událostí a chtěli bychom vás požádat, abyste se vhodně oblékli, i v případě horkého počasí. Dress code je cocktail attire. Pro pány je vhodný oblek s kravatou a sako během obřadu - kravatu a sako si můžete po obřadu sundat, případně se na večerní party převléci to pohodlnějšího oděvu (smart casual). Dámy by měly mít šaty nebo kostým, nikoliv v bílé barvě. I dámy si mohou na party vzít pohodlnější outfit.

Czech weddings are a formal event and we would like to ask you to dress appropriately, even if the weather is hot. The dress code is cocktail attire. For men, a suit with a tie and a jacket is appropriate for the ceremony - you can lose the tie and the jacket after the ceremony if you wish to, or even change to a comfortable outfit (smart casual) for the party. Ladies should wear a dress or a costume their outfit should not be white. Again you are welcome to change into a more comfortable outfit for the party.

Tsjechische bruiloften zijn een formeel evenement en we willen dit ook uitstralen met onze kledingkeuze, zelfs als het warm weer is. De dresscode is cocktail attire. Voor mannen is een pak met een jas en stropdas geschikt voor de ceremonie - u kunt de stropdas en de jas uitdoen en afdoen na de ceremonie als je dat wilt, of zelfs omkleden in een comfortabele outfit voor het feest (smart casual). Dames dragen een jurk of outfit die niet wit mag zijn. Je bent van harte welkom om je om te kleden in een comfortabelere outfit voor het feest.
