Lawn Sports
After you check in please join us for an afternoon of lawn games where you'll test your capabilities in traditional Scottish sports like archery, clay pigeon shooting, and croquet. Lunch & drinks are on us!
Casual Chic
Casual chic is all about mixing the formal with the informal, the trendy with the classic!
Ladies: Have a favorite dress? Add a pair of dressy sneakers or your favorite wedges. Want to sport jeans instead? Pair them with a trendy blouse and flats or boots if the weather allows it. Do check the weather as it may be colder than you think!
Gentlemen: No need for a long sleeve dress shirt today! Come relaxed in a crew cut shirt or sweater paired with trousers or jeans.
Whisky Tasting
Whisky not Whiskey: We wouldn't invite you all the way to Scotland without hosting you to a proper whisky tasting! Please join us on the eve of our wedding for whiskey and horderves.
Cocktail
Cocktail attire is a balance between formal and casual and elegant and comfortable. Cocktail attire is meant to bridge the gap between day and night.
Ladies: Tonight is the perfect occasion to dress up! Although welcome, a full-length gown is not necessary. Tonight's look can be a short dress with the fabric and embellishments of a formal gown. In addition to a traditional cocktail dress, women can also wear dressy suits or nice jumpsuits paired with heels or formal flats.
Gentlemen: All experts agree: a suit is required for cocktail attire, and although a tie is encouraged we can pass on that for tonight gentlemen. As for shoes, keep it classy with a nice pair of dark dress shoes that match your belt.
Wedding Breakfast
We invite you to enjoy a traditional Scottish breakfast on the morning before we say I do.
After breakfast guest are welcome to explore the castle grounds (36 acres) as they please or adventure out past the castle walls to the smaller surrounding villages such as Ballantrae.

A black-tie wedding indicates that the wedding’s style will be formal and luxurious.
Ladies: Tonight is a night for you to look your most glamorous! Embrace it and have fun. Please wear a long formal gown with your fancy jewels and high heels.
Gentlemen: There's really nothing as sophisticated as a man in classic black tie. Please wear a dinner jacket (also known as a tuxedo jacket) and matching trousers, bow tie, and cummerbund or waistcoast, and black patent-leather or calfskin pumps or laced oxfords.
