HOW WE MET

We wish we had a super romantic story to share with ya’ll, but the truth is we met on Tinder 6 years ago. I guess you can call me (Laura) Tinderella from now on?

Fun fact, my family still thinks we met through mutual friends, so my cellphone will surely be ringing off the hook after my parents read this today. #sorrymom&dad

THE PROPOSAL

In early October 2020, (10.01.20 to be exact) we headed towards Asheville, North Carolina for a weekend of hiking. We were both excited because Achilles and Penny were joining us on vacation for the first time, or so I thought that's why Greg was so anxious excited leading up to the trip. After a long 14 hour drive, we finally made it to our romantically secluded AirBnB. The kids immediately made themselves at home, exploring the landscape and inside of the accommodations.

On the first night of our trip, we made marshmallows by the bonfire. On the second day, we started our hike through the rocky mountains. Greg already had the master plan laid out, hiring a local photographer to capture the special moment. The plan was to have us and the pups go to the designated 'spot' where the photographer would capture it all. However, as life would have it, nothing ever goes to plan. Turns out, it was a popular day to hike the mountains and the photographer ended up at a different location than where we were hiking. I could sense Greg's nerves growing, but I didn't truly understand why until I saw him on his knee. Our moment ended up more intimate and more perfect than I could ever expect or plan myself. It was us and our pups, one little happy family, officially!

*Yes, you guessed it - we did meet the photographer the next day, as I love a good photo.

WHY WE CHOSE SCOTLAND

Finding a wedding venue that felt right was no easy feat, to say the least. From the initial idea of getting married in Mexico, to dreaming of a snowy mountain wedding in Colorado, all the way to saying things are too complicated, "Let's just elope!"

The truth is, no venue or city we previously fantasized on felt right to us. It wasn't until one Sunday afternoon we were reminiscing about our October 2019 trip to Scotland, and how we needed to go back with our family and friends... right there and then is when we both knew Scotland felt just right!

Before we knew it, we were looking at Scottish venues and planning out our dream of having all our friends and family under one beautiful castle roof in our favorite country. Our dream became a reality, and we're so excited to share it with you soon.
