Juba International Airport

All international flight will land at Juba International Airport, Juba, South Sudan.

The airport is located 5 km northeast of the city's central business district, on the western banks of the White Nile. The city and airport are located in South Sudan's Central Equatoria State. It is one of the two international airports in South Sudan, the other being Malakal Airport.

Things to Do

A visit to Juba the newest capital city in the world is the perfect way to get a taste of the country's rich history and culture. Here you get to visit the cattle market where bulls known for their long horns and considered to be the most beautiful animals in the world are sold.

Jebel Kujur a 648m high mountain that looks like a dusty piece of rock in the dry season but turns into a green luxurious hill when rain comes is a great spot for the climbing enthusiasts.

It is also home to one of River Nile tributary; The white Nile. You can hire a boat ride and later enjoy the Nile breeze as you enjoy the view and dinner at the DA Vinci.

For all the nature lovers, there are numerous game reserves, national parks and sanctuaries which are home to different species of birds, large mammals like the hippo, elephants, crocodile and many more. 

The game reserves include: Ashana, Bengangai, Ez Zeraf, Kidepo among others.

National parks include: Bandingilo, Boma, Nimule, Shambe and Lontoto

Don't forget about Gogrial the birth place of Manute Bol, the NBA legend and activist. There are lovely places to dine for local cuisines.

The city of Kodak is yet another place you ought to visit. You witness traditional wrestling matches where wrestlers remove their upper clothing and wrestle each other in front of a crowd. The winners get a number of cattle as a prize.
