It all started at a wedding back in Jan 2017... Sheldon will never forget the first time he laid eyes on his sweet Rochelle: gate-crashing his brother's wedding, she glided out of the shadows with her pretty smile - grabbing everyone’s eyes and minds along the way as she made it to the dancefloor. “Hmm…” he thought. “how come I never knew April and Marinelle had a sister.” That night he casually approached her and asked her for her social handle pretending to tag her in one of the photos – but all he really wanted was to get to know her. A few days later they met-up again for drinks – getting to know each other a little bit more.
Alas, Sheldon's holidays came to an end and he had to fly back to Germany. They both kept in touch occasionally through texts over the next couple of years but the flames started to slowly extinguish as own personal / professional lives became priority. Fast forward to Dec 2019 in Goa, they ran again into one another on an impromptu night out with a group of mutual friends - they hit it off just like the first time - the sparks were still strong! but it couldn’t go any further – rumor has it Rochelle was dating someone at the time.
As time went on, Sheldon (yes, Sheldon) very much missed that spark with Rochelle and so one night out of the blue he reached out to her (not even knowing whether she was in a relationship or not). Rochelle still remembers the conversation, as if it were yesterday. Over the next couple of months, they spent talking / texting each other everyday. As they say, distance truly makes the heart grow fonder. Later that year, mid-pandemic Sheldon flies down to Goa to spend time with Rochelle. What they already felt before (all those years) was very much sealed with their first date. And as the story goes, their fates intertwined for all eternity when Sheldon proposed to her on Christmas Eve and she said “YES!” Simply put, Rochelle and Sheldon couldn’t imagine their lives without each other and can’t wait to celebrate the beginning of their journey with you in Portugal!
