Best Lake View- Lake Hefner Grille
My favorite place to go for a Sunset dinner. You can sit outside and watch the sunset over the lake or inside and listen to the jazz band. On certain nights, they even have live music out on the patio with the outside bar. The food is great and the price is reasonable.
Most Romantic- Paseo Grill
A wonderful romantic and quaint restaurant here in OKC. All of the booths are surrounded by curtains which creates an intimate feel. The food is wonderful.
Vegan Friendly (and Great Brunch)-Picasso Cafe
If you are looking for a restaurant with vegan and vegetarian options-look no further. This restaurant is super cute, artistic and affordable. You can also come here for brunch on the weekend and buy an entire bottle of champagne for make your own mimosas.
Most Kid Friendly-Ted's Cafe
Do you want a super fun, delicious and loud restaurant where kids are welcome and food is delicious? Then Ted's is your spot. This is our Tex Mex restaurant and every meal comes with tortillas, queso, chips and sopapillas. You can also order a delicious and quite large margarita. There are several locations across the city.
Most Casual-Rudy's Barbecue
Are you looking for some delicious barbecue in a casual setting? This gas station hosted barbecue joint is one of the best in the city. You can also buy BBQ breakfast tacos and they are to die for. This is also super kid friendly.
Uber and Lyft
Guys, feel free to rent a car but you can also uber and lyft it. I personally would book a hotel in a walkable part of the city and then just uber and/or lyft to the wedding events. It's about a $10 uber ride to get anywhere in the city.
OK Street Car
For $3 you can buy an all day pass for OK Street Car. It will not take you to the wedding but it will take you all around downtown, midtown, film row, automobile alley and business district. Check it Out!
For Everyone- Myriad Gardens
If you have time at all, I recommend the Myriad Gardens. Check out the Crystal Bridge for a beautiful indoor garden, the Children's Garden for a creative and fun playground, the wonderful splash pad outside the Children's Garden (just bring your swimsuit) and the outside garden to feed the ducks and see the turtles. The Children's Garden Festival will also be held the weekend of the wedding and is a wonderful event.
For the Adventurer- RiverSport Adventure
This is our newest addition to the boathouse district. This place is packed full of activities including whitewater rafting (on a man made river, same area used for CREW training for the olympics), zip line, high ropes course, SUP/stand up paddle boarding, large slides and more.
For the Art Inclined-OKC Museum of Art
The Oklahoma Museum of Art has a permanent collection and rotating collections. Check it out if you have some time!
Oklahoma City Memorial
The Oklahoma City Bombing was a tragic day in our history here in Oklahoma. The memorial is beautiful and touching and the outside area is free. I suggest stopping by if time permits.
Brushed Salon & Makeup Studio
This place is not a classic blow out bar but they do a lot of weddings and are ranked one of best hair and makeup studios in OKC.
Lifetime Fitness
Not that you will necessarily have the time or will to workout. But a new lifetime fitness opened up close to our wedding venue. Your first pass is free if you sign up online (link provided). You can also buy a guest pass for one day and they have pretty much everything (yoga classes, spin classes, all fitness classes, outdoor and indoor pool for fun or laps, etc).
Yoga at Tiffany's
My favorite hot yoga venue in OKC. A drop in class is $17 and I'm pretty sure they will give you a free class if you call and ask (for first time visitors).
