Erin Herock
Maid of Honor

Growing up with a seven year age gap, Erin and I had your typical sister relationship of being goofy and laughs intermixed with quarrelling and getting annoyed when she would always want to hang out with my friends and I. It wasn't until I became an adult that my eyes opened to truly how lucky I am that I have had this amazing human being as my sidekick through my childhood and now as one of my best friends and most importantly sister. We share a love of indie alternative music, nature hikes, being goofy, and sloth time. Erin graduated in the Spring from UVA with a Masters in Urban and Environmental Planning (so proud), and will be an official post collegiate Virginia resident in August 2023 :). I am grateful to have her stand by my side as my maid of honor.

Fun Fact: This photo of us was taken the Fall before Robert and I got engaged at Veritas Winery, where we are having our wedding reception. When Erin and I came to Veritas for the first time that day, I just knew this is where I wanted my wedding to be.

Talk to her about: Sustainability, Music, DIY Projects, Soccer, 400M Track Records, how her retinas are holding up after losing her sunglasses

Alicia Romanelli-Chahine
Bridesmaid

I met Alicia freshman year of high school when we sat next to each other in PE (Physical Education) class, as many great friendships start. We shared your typical hilarious coming of age memories together (sleepovers, dances, nights hitting the town, etc.). Alicia, though she does not know, was very influential in helping me hone in and develop my own sense of fashion style (I had taken a hiatus from my elementary school Limited Too days to try out the tomboy wannabe beach bum look prior to our friendship). Fast forward to 2019, Alicia moved to DC and we became roommates! Fast forward another year, and we became pandemic coworkers and each other's full stop social outlet (deeming our living room as Club 678) where we discovered our love for making cocktails (or way to create a fun hobby of drinking in our home). One thing that never changed in all those years was our ability to make each other laugh and our respect for each other's family devotion. Alicia has the talent of story telling, and you will never meet someone as fiercely loving, warm, and selfless with her time as her. I am incredibly grateful to have her as a soul sister in my life, and as one of my bridesmaids.

Fun Fact: Our Dads grew up down the street from each other in the same neighborhood. I spent a lot of my childhood years in this neighborhood at my grandparents, and Alicia was raised here. While we didn't meet until high school, it helps to further explain why my soul feels like it has always known hers. She also just got married this past May to the love of both our lives, Joey :)

Talk to her about: Hosting Expertise, Cooking, Italy, Your Life, her parking ticket luck, our alter egos Bianca and Margo

Caitlin Anderson
Bridesmaid

Caitlin and I have known each other for almost 8 years now, sharing many memories from her family trips to Ohio State Football games, France, the Kentucky Derby, and Christmas Markets in Germany / Austria (gluhwein forever), and spending July 4th up in Cape Cod. We share an affinity for the hot chocolate with Baileys up at Sugarloaf. I have appreciated from the start of Robert and I's relationship how welcoming Caitlin has been, and am looking forward to having a sister-in-law as thoughtful as her. I am so grateful to have her as a bridesmaid.

Fun Fact: A lot of my favorite pictures of Robert and I have been taken by Caitlin, a feat for two people who rarely like photos of themselves

Talk to her about: Taylor Swift fandom, Harry Potter, Amazon, her time teaching in rural China, her latest craft, her Christmas decorations

Cara Herock
Bridesmaid

Cara and I have a 15 year age gap as sisters, and she is one of greatest gifts to ever happen in my life. While she is now a 16 year old (much older than the photo shown here) this is one of my favorite photos of her and I. I cherish how I have been able to watch her grow up from the very beginning, being able to remember everything so clearly and get a trial run in the work it takes to take care of a baby (and how rewarding it is). Thanks to her existence, I have a Herock child ally in the fair, easily sunburnt lifestyle when we do family beach trips. She is a brilliant, spunky, and hilarious girl that is going to do amazing things. I am so grateful to have her as one of my bridesmaids.

Fun Fact: Our nicknames for each other are Stink (lovingly) and MeMe.

Talk to her about: Zelda, Pokemon, Soccer, Cross Country, Marine Life, Our Family Westies, Violin, Piano, how much she loves our couch at home

Megan Kelly
Bridesmaid

Just like the picture here shows, since freshman year of high school Megan has devoutly been there for me every chapter of my life. Our friendship started with realizing we had a shared love of Harry Potter, Twilight (gross), and The Fray. Mostly it was our ability to talk about very deep things for hours as 15/16 year olds and shared oldest sibling responsibilities. Whether it was summers spent working together when she would come to my lifeguard chair and clean for an unnecessary period of time, hanging at my house and helping me watch Cara, coming to visit me during college in DC, music festivals, and just always being there for every phone call or text to report the good or the bad - she is the big sister that I've always wanted. She is such a forgiving person as well - for example, she put up with us having to go to the principal's office in high school as a result of my own doings, and readily forgave me for making her miss her megabus back from DC once which caused her to experience the Greyhound travel lifestyle. Laughing with her causes tears to stream down my face and my abs to be in agony. The best way to describe Megan is she embodies what it feels like to be hugged by someone you love. I am so grateful to have her stand by my side for this next important chapter of my life as one of my bridesmaids.

Fun Fact: We refer to ourselves as Megsquared, and have gotten into very deep discussions about how we say our own names different than how we say each others.

Talk to her about: Harry Potter, London, Cheese, her psychological expertise, all the times I made her stay up later than she wanted and she was thankful

Osman Youness
Best Man

Osman was my roommate freshman and sophomore year in college.  We both forewent the Georgetown roommate matching system CHARMS and were randomly matched to each other.  Somehow our random matching worked out better than many of the CHARMS connections we knew of  (ask Alex Celona about his) and we've remained friends to this day.  Osman always joked we should form a Coalition for Reason to combat those with nonsensical thoughts on the world.

As Osman is from LA he became a Rams fan when they moved back to LA. This picture of us is from the Super Bowl when the Patriots beat the Rams.

Osman is a man constantly on the move. I often refer to him as Carmen San Diego as you never know where in the world he may be. Ask him about fish farming or his time in South Africa.

Eric Anderson
Groomsmen

Eric is my older brother by four years. We've shared many experiences together from travelling the world, hanging insulation, going to camp together, and skiing. I admire Eric's ability to roll with the punches and maintain a positive attitude throughout the ups and downs of life.

Ask him about his son, Cayden Chip , skiing (maybe he'll invite you on our next trip to Telluride), or construction.

Alex Celona
Groomsmen

Alex "Celona" Celona lived across the hall from Osman and I freshman year. Celona was my roommate sophomore through senior year in college.  Despite his passion for New York sports teams (the ones that actually win like the Giants and Yankees) we became great friends.  We studied abroad in Oxford together in the summer of 2012 and took many accounting and finance classes together at Georgetown. This picture of us is from the top of Whistler during our senior year. We took this picture as we were both participating in the 99 Days club at the Tombs in Georgetown which required us to go to the same bar for 99 days in a row (or send a receipt from another bar if we were out town). During spring break we had to send a picture of us wearing Tombs shirts in order to keep the streak alive.

Ask Alex about New York, anything sports related, or his time in the Georgetown Pep Band.

Josh Tucci
Groomsmen

Josh "Tucci" Tucci also lived on my floor freshman year (maybe you're noticing a pattern here).  Tucci was always down to have a good time, even if he had to wake up early the following morning for swim practice.  I studied abroad with Tucci in Oxford in the summer and the picture here is from the London Olympics. During the early stages of the pandemic, Tucci would organize Zoom meetings where he would play electronic music and bring friends together to have fun time despite social distancing.

Ask Tucci about electronic music or for his thoughts on gold and the future of the economy.

Kyle Herock
Groomsmen

Kyle Herock is Meghan's younger brother.  I met Kyle after Meghan and I started dating while Kyle was attending the University of Maryland (fear the turtle).  Kyle and I both share an interest in video games and technology (though as a Computer Engineer his technological prowess exceeds most).  We've also gone skiing together in Snowbird and spent time together driving to and from Pittsburgh while he was still in college.

This picture of us is from Kure Beach in North Carolina (sorry Erin but I cropped you out).

Cathy Anderson

Ask Cathy about Nantucket baskets, needlepointing, Cleveland, Ohio, National Parks or movies.
