Getting to and From the Algonquin Island Association
Getting to and from the Island via Ferry
Taking the ferry to the island will be the most reliable option, but will include a 10 minute walk from the ferry to the venue. Ferry tickets are about $10 round trip. You'll only need to display a ticket heading to the island.
Take the Wards Island ferry at 2:30pm or 3:00pm to ensure that you arrive on time to the Algonquin Island Association. Please book your tickets ahead of time to avoid a line, the ferries are busy in the summer. You'll be emailed the tickets and can show them on your phone.
When you get off the Wards Island ferry, take the path and head to the right (west). You'll follow the path til you see a small pedestrian bridge to Algonquin Island. When you get across the bridge, walk straight until you hit the lake and you can see the skyline. Turn left and walk to the end. You'll be at the Algonquin Island Association.
Getting to and from the Island via Water Taxi
You can choose to take a water taxi to and from the AIA. Water taxis cost ~$10 per person each way and only accept cash.
The water taxis will drop you off right at the AIA if you have a full boat of people going there. You'll need about 10 people to fill a water taxi. Otherwise, ask them to take you to Ward's Island and follow the same instructions for walking to the AIA as the ferry.
Please note: the Island gets very busy in the summer and the water taxi lines can be long. Please try to get to the water taxi stations by 2:30 at the latest to get in line for a water taxi.
