How to Get There
Location
Slot Doddendael is located near the village of Ewijk and next to the river Waal. There are several small towns nearby including Beuningen and Weurt, with the nearest large city of Nijmegen 10-15 minutes away by car.
We anticipate most people will be staying in Nijmegen, although a small number of AirBnB's can be found in the surrounding villages.
By Plane
There are several flights multiple times a day from major cities across the UK and Europe to both Amsterdam Schipol Airport and Eindhoven.
By Train
It is possible to train from London St Pancras direct to Amsterdam Centraal via the Eurostar, which you can find here.
By Car/Ferry
You can also drive over to the Netherlands, as we frequently do! There are two options here; either with the Stenaline from Harwich to Hook Van Holland or via Dover to Calais with either the ferry or Eurotunnel and then driving through Belgium.
By Train
There are direct trains from both Amsterdam Schipol Airport and Amsterdam Centraal to Nijmegen. You can buy tickets in advance or on the day. To buy tickets in advance book here.
By Car
You can can of course get to Nijmegen quite easily by car, from both the Airport (if hiring a car) or from the various ferry terminals.
By Car
It is a 15 minute drive from Nijmegen centre to Slot Doddendael. If driving there is ample parking and you will be able to leave the car overnight (although the venue request that cars are collected by 11am the following day).
By Taxi

By Bus
There is a bus that runs from Central Nijmegen to Slot Doddendael via the Number 85 and takes about 25 minutes. It currently runs every half hour. There is a short 5-10 minute walk from the bus stop to Slot Doddendael. You can look for times online here.
By Bike
For the adventurous few, you can (of course!) go full Dutch and cycle to Slot Doddendael from Nijmegen. It takes 25-30 minutes direct on the cycle highway. There are several places to rent a bike here. Some hotels may even have bikes available to rent.
Currently (at the time of writing) travel to the NL is unrestricted for those who are fully vaccinated, although you will need to show your COVID pass at border control.
