Geraldine’s parents Rebecca and Martin Klein are both doctors and practiced in Germany. She has one brother, Marvin who just got married in St Thomas to Julie this April. Dad enjoys road biking and mom enjoys gardening and supervising dad’s gardening. Following recent retirement, they are traveling a lot and splitting their time between Düsseldorf and the Florida Golf Coast. They seem to be in a different city every month. Julie is a litigation lawyer and Marvin has a computer science background but if you find out what exactly he does, please let us know. Geraldine is particularly thankful for her parent's support throughout medical school and for helping her pursue opportunities in Great Britain, Berlin, and Boston.
Marilyn and Bill, met while studying at the University of Illinois. They raised Greg, and his sister, Mandy, in the Chicago suburb of Crystal Lake, Illinois. Mandy is a Marriage and Family Therapist, with a practice in Arlington Heights, Illinois. Her free time is packed with activities, which include volleyball and tennis. Marilyn, who sadly passed in 2013, was a middle school teacher. She loved reading books, gardening, and beach vacations. Bill is a chemist, who ran his own water consulting firm. After retiring, he and his partner Sue, have embraced the snowbird lifestyle. Winters are in Punta Gorda, Florida, and summers back in Crystal Lake. In retirement, he’s been woodworking, playing bridge, golfing, and biking.
