A chance encounter
A rainy summer’s day in London marks where Giorgio and Nicole’s story begins. On the 29th August 2015 their two worlds collided as they danced under the night sky at a local music festival. As fate brought them together within the large crowd, Giorgio turned to Nicole with an unforgettable smile and smoothly negotiated an exchange of phone numbers. With this brief encounter, little did they know, the flame had been ignited and life would never be the same again!
The Beginning
After several days of "playing it cool" Giorgio made his next move which lead onto their first date in a cosy brunch cafe in the heart of East London. Giorgio waited patiently and with great suspense for Nicole, who arrived very late after getting lost! Nonetheless, on this occasion it seems it was worth the wait. They talked for hours discovering their shared dreams of exploring the world. Nicole remembers being mesmerised by Giorgio’s great teeth and smile whilst Giorgio recalls that bold yellow dress she wore that caught his eye. They met again several times that very same week and the rest is history!
Together
5 years worth of treasured memories later and they have shared so much together. They faced lions in the African Masai Mara, hiked historic trails of Machu Picchu and witnessed the wondrous Northern Lights in Iceland. Giorgio helped Nicole face her fear of freezing temperatures on their ski trips in the mountains and Nicole inspired Giorgio to unleash his salsa dancing moves. In 2018, Giorgio and Nicole said goodbye to old flatmates and moved into an east London flat setting up home together.
The Proposal
In May 2019 on a backpacking trip in South America Giorgio popped that all important big question. In the Salar de Uyuni Salt Flats of Bolivia, they soaked in the natural springs of the desert covered by a breathtaking blanket of stars. It was here Giorgio asked Nicole to be his wife.. and without hesitation she said ‘Yes”. This was met with a sea of cheering from the audience of travellers around them who were secretly watching the story unfold.
Giorgio & Nicole originally planned to marry in June 2020 however, that year brought unforseen challenges to the whole world! The year planned for bachelor parties, wedding celebrations, reunions and honeymooning became a year of banana bread baking, Zoom calls and a whole lot of Netflix. But..they were together through it all, learning that love truly conquers all.
They now have bought a new home together, building the foundations for their married life ahead.....Ain't no stopping them now!
We are so excited to finally embark on this next chapter of marriage together and we thank God that despite the hurdles we are still here and able to celebrate this special moment with you.. Here's to Love, Life and Friendship.
