We met at Kilroy's Sports Bar at Indiana University. We had both attended the Purdue vs. Indiana basketball game...Purdue won of course ;) I was celebrating by dancing the night away with one my friends & Jack went out with his buddies to cope with the loss. He thought the coolest person he would meet that night would be Mark Cuban, but then he met me! I saw him from across the room & told my friend "I'm going to marry that guy one day". I asked one of Jack's friends to introduce us & the rest is history!

We had plans to go out in Downtown Indy for New Years and Jack asked if we should go to Oliver Winery before dinner. Who would turn that down...not me! We ordered our wine flights & walked around the winery until we ended up in front of a beautiful waterfall. He told me to open my wallet that had a little note inside. It had the coordinates of where we first met & where we were soon to be engaged. I started bawling my eyes out before I finished reading. He got down on one knee & asked me to marry him. We celebrated the amazing night downtown with friends!

After a cancelled flight, 13 hours at the airport, & a layover in NYC...we finally made it to Punta Cana! Not what we expected for our first solo trip out of the country, but a great story that we can now laugh about. We have always loved to travel & we thought what's better than getting married on a beach with all of our family & friends...nothing!
