There are many car rental agencies at DIA and Eagle airport. You should not need a car once you get to Vail unless you plan on adventuring outside of Vail during your time in Colorado.

If you are tired of driving on the highway you can take exit 216 to US 6-W before Eisenhower tunnel and drive over the Continental divide. This only adds 30 minutes to your drive.  

If you are planning on driving to Camp Hale for the wedding put Nova Guides or 7088 US-24, Red Cliff, CO 81649 into maps. "Camp Hale" will take you to a campground. 

Take a ride to the top of Vail mountain and enjoy beautiful views of Colorado from 10,000'.

There are many mountain biking and road biking trails in Vail. You can rent bikes, helmets, and other gear from the Vail Sports locations in either Vail Village or Lionshead Village.

The Gardens is located in Ford Park, east of Vail Village and next to the Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater, below Ford Park soccer and softball fields and across the creek from Manor Vail Lodge and Golden Peak. From Vail Village parking structure, it is a 5-10 minute walk or bus ride east.
