About the Tornaboda

In Mexican culture, the tornaboda is the after-party that follows a wedding. It is much smaller and more intimate than the reception. It serves as an informal get-together to wind down after the reception. Typically, family and out-of-town guests choose to attend, but attendance is in no way mandatory, as the tornaboda is not officially part of the celebration. Traditional food such as menudo or barbacoa is served to remedy overindulgence from the wedding.
