FAQs

How do I RSVP?

Formal wedding invitations will be sent out to our guests in January 2022 and we will allow 6 weeks to RSVP.  An RSVP card with an addressed and stamped envelope will be included with your invitation.

What is the wedding attire?

Please wear cocktail attire.  Our wedding ceremony, cocktail hour and reception will take place outdoors on the lawn.  Please bear this in mind when choosing footwear.  There will be outdoor heat lamps once the sun sets.

What is the weather like in April in San Diego?

San Diego spring weather is typically mid 60s-70s, but could get chilly in the mid 50's once the sun goes down. The ceremony, cocktail hour and reception will be outdoors so you may want to bring a sweater or light jacket just in case. Our venue will provide heat lamps as well.

Are children invited to the wedding?

We believe kids add a huge amount of laughter, fun, and atmosphere to a wedding. To accommodate our family and friends with small children, we have included them on our guest list. This will be noted on our invitations.
However, we are not providing child care during the ceremony, cocktail hour or reception. Children’s table activities will be provided at our children’s tables at the reception.  Please note any need for a high chair on your RSVP.

Can single guests bring a date?

We have included a “plus-one” on our invitations to single guests.

Where are the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception taking place?

The wedding ceremony, cocktail hour and reception will all be taking place at "The Dana on Mission Bay", please see the hotels tab for a link to the venue website.

What time should I arrive?

The wedding ceremony will begin promptly at 4:30 pm, please arrive no later than 30 minutes prior to the ceremony start time to allow ample time to park.

Can I take and put pictures of the wedding on social media?

We ask that all guests turn off their camera's/phones and refrain from taking any photos during the ceremony. Professional photographers will be capturing our special moments so that you can all be present with us. After the ceremony, we encourage guests to take photos during the reception. We will have our wedding hashtag (#ZelayaYourLoveOnMe) posted at the bar for sharing your photos on social media.

I've never been to San Diego, what should I check out during my stay?
