About 6 years ago, Dena had just moved from Los Angeles to San Diego and decided to adopt a Chihuahua named Bean. Around the same time, Anthony decided to get a puppy English Bulldog that he named Nina. Anthony and Dena were friendly at the dog park for almost a year, when Anthony decided to ask Dena out on a date. From there, Anthony and Dena fell in love over numerous visits to the dog beach/dog parks, nights out at local restaurants, bike riding around town and traveling to favorite destinations. When Anthony and Dena met, Dena was just beginning a Master's Program in Nursing, and even though many days and nights were filled with studying, they always made time to see one another when they could. Finally, once completing her Master's Program, Dena and Bean moved in with Anthony and Nina to their Ocean Beach condo, and 5 months later, Anthony proposed to Dena...at the dog park where it all began!
