Angel was 8 years old when his dad became the pastor at Central Spanish church where he met Heather for the first time. They had a crush on each other and avoided one another at all cost due to their shyness.

In 2010 for the first time Angel and Heather began to get to know each other as friends. She was 14 at the time and he was 15. Heather texted him and a long-distance friendship was born. It didn’t take long for Angel to realize he had feelings for Heather, and Heather for Angel. This was their first photo together still as friends!

January 23rd was the day they became “official”. Due to the long distance, their parents allowed them to pursue a relationship because no harm could come of a sweet and innocent first love relationship as long as neither one could drive. Or so they thought.....

The innocent love that grew over the one year long distance relationship turned into an even bigger long distance when Angel moved to Tennessee to pursue a degree. Heather stayed at Washington Adventist University which was closer to home. Although all odds seem to be against them, these two remained faithful to their relationship.

As the years went by, Angel and Heather continued to advance in their studies and as a couple. No barrier nor distance was big enough to separate the love birds!

Soon enough, the two graduated college and the distance was no longer a barrier. 6 years had passed since they started the relationship and the long distance was finally coming to an end!The two were thrilled to be closer to one another and couldn’t wait to see what job opportunities God had to offer Angel back in Maryland.

Soon after finishing undergrad, Heather wanted to start her Masters in order to have it completed by the following August. They had planned that marriage would come soon after grad school. Angel became super eager and decided to buy a ring in November 2017. Every night he would go to sleep thinking about how we was going to ask THE BIG QUESTION! Ashley and Michelle, Angel and Heathers little sisters teamed up with Angel the following March to make this longed day possible.
It was on a very cold and windy March day that Angel invited Heather to a photoshoot in DC as the excuse to get her to dress up. Heather was already very suspicious of the plans and became very hesitant of going because she was afraid of not having a genuine reaction the minute he proposed. After much hesitation, and irritation from Angels behalf; the two made their way to the National Harbor. When Angel sneaked up with a sign that read “It was always you” and the second one “will you marry me” the tears began to flow and the two embraced one another before a speech was even said. haha! Finally, Angel began his speech and before you know it there was a ring in Heathers finger!
Poco después de terminar la licenciatura, Heather quería comenzar su maestría para completarla en agosto del próximo año. Habían planeado que el matrimonio llegaría poco después de graduarse de la Universidad. Angel se volvió súper ansioso y decidió comprar un anillo en noviembre del 2017. Cada noche se iba a dormir pensando en cómo le iba hacer ¡LA GRAN PREGUNTA! Ashley y Michelle, las hermanas menores de Angel y Heathers se unieron a Angel en marzo del 2018 para hacer posible este día tan anhelado.
En un frío y día con mucho viento en el mes de marzo, Angel invitó a Heather a una sesión de fotos en Washington DC como excusa para hacer que se arreglará. Heather ya desconfiaba mucho de los planes y dudó mucho en ir porque temía no tener una reacción genuina en el momento en que le propusiera matrimonio. Después de mucha vacilación, e irritación de parte de Angel; los dos se dirigieron hacia el puerto nacional. Cuando Angel se coló con un letrero que decía "Siempre fuiste tú" y el segundo "te casarás conmigo", las lágrimas comenzaron a fluir y los dos se abrazaron antes de que se pronunciara un discurso. ¡jaja! Finalmente, Angel comenzó su discurso y, antes de que te des cuenta, ¡había un anillo en el dedo de Heather!
Now, 8 years later the two are only months away from the most waited moment of their lives! They enjoy every moment together as fiancé and fiancée, but are eager to become husband and wife!
