Johanna and Zarin met in 2014 while working in South Korea and have consistently stayed close despite being in different cities, countries, and time zones since. One time, after studying Korean for hours in the summer, Johanna and Zarin walked off-campus in the middle of the night in an act of rebellion and got shaved ice to calm down.
Megan and Zarin met while working at the Mayor's Office in 2016. Megan was the first one to come over to say "hi" and since then, they have shared their love for treacherous workout classes, cheese tastings, and bad reality TV. Nadeia is Zarin's oldest friend--they met in 4th grade and have since gone through elementary, middle, high school, and college together. They studied abroad in South Korea, grew up as neighbors in the Bronx, and eventually moved in together as young adults. Nadeia and Zarin once got locked out of their dorm studying abroad in South Korea and had to spend the night at a very shady sauna.
