Should I stay in Sintra or Lisbon?
Up to you! We've provided some recommendations for hotels in Sintra, where the wedding will take place. We recommend planning ahead for travel if you plan to be a little further from the venue. If you plan to be in Portugal before or past the wedding, we recommend you stay in Lisbon where there is more to do.
Is there a group rate for the hotel options below?
Given most hotels in Lisbon and Sintra are small boutique hotels, we've opted to provide flexibility for our guests instead. You are welcome to book whatever works best for you--we recommend staying as close to the wedding venue as possible.
How should I expect to get around?
There is public transportation available but Ubers are very cost-effective in Portugal even between Sintra and Lisbon. Local spots are always walkable as long as you have a comfortable pair of shoes. We do not recommend renting a car unless you are comfortable driving in VERY NARROW streets.
When should I book the hotel? How long should I book for?
You should book your hotel at the same time as your flights starting your stay at April 26th, 2024 at the latest. If you plan to attend the (optional) excursion day, plan to stay through the 28th and check out the 29th.
