Welcome to our wedding weekend! On arrival please head to the Calamocha Lodge where we will meet you. We have had some heavy rain the last two nights and the roads to Manzanillo are mostly dirt roads so we recommend following the linked map below as the route from Paquera ferry terminal to Calamocha lodge. For those of you coming from Tambor join the same route at Tambor. We followed the Google maps automatic route and got stuck on a flooded road so please follow this route we linked below.

On the dirt roads be sure to activate the 4 wheel drive mode of your rental car, take your time, and be prepared for the potholes! You will eventually see brown signs for Calamocha.

The code to access the gate is 124578 ENTER. Drive on down the gravel path to the parking area by the swing chair. We will meet you and provide you with the keys for your casa or lodge.

Check-in is officially at 3pm but people will be arriving at different times on Thursday the 9th so please take it easy and relax at your leisure if you arrive early or are running late. Keep us updated on WhatsApp of your whereabouts!

On your way, make sure to stop at a local liquor store and pick up your favourite drinks. We will be supplying everything on the wedding day but feel free to grab what you want for the other days.

You are invited to meet with everyone at 5 pm for a chance to catch up and get to know the other wedding guests, at the Rancho by the pool.

We will be enjoying a traditional Costa Rican family style dinner on the first night in the Calamocha Rancho.

After dinner feel free to head back to your Airbnb or Lodge at your leisure. There have been some rainy evenings so leave enough time to drive back.

The lodge and private casas are a great place to just relax and enjoy, they feature wonderful views for photography, the lodge and some villas have a pool, others are located literally steps away from the beach, all have communal and private seating areas.

If you prefer to not do one of the activities or treatment options, head over to Calamocha or just relax and enjoy your casa!

We will be staying in Manzanillo, just north of Playa Santa Teresa. Playa Manzanillo is known for its beautiful natural beach, coconut palms, and its snorkeling and scuba diving opportunities. This beach is remote enough to not be overrun with tourists, but it is loved by locals. The best time to swim here is from the high-to-mid tide - so go take a dip! 

Waterfalls more your thing - take a trip to the nearby waterfalls and explore the area! Montezuma has some beautiful waterfalls.

We want nothing more than for you to relax and enjoy your time during our wedding getaway. If you are interested, you can schedule some activities on Friday that will allow you to get to know the other wedding guests. Examples of activities might be:

-Baby Turtle Release into the Ocean

On arrival we will provide you with a welcome pack containing many options you may want to try. Please connect directly with your accommodation hosts via WHATSAPP to schedule any activities.

Activities might not be your thing, in which case you may want to enjoy a personal experience such as a massage or spa treatment.  Examples might be:

Want to start the day by getting your sweat on? Jasmin (Zaid’s sister) is a qualified fitness instructor with Solidcore and will be hosting a 30 minute boot camp class on the Casa Mangos terrace at 8:30 am. Join us!

An optional activity will be a group hike through the surrounding rainforest of Calamocha. It will only be an hour or so. Take some photos and Instagram shots in the jungle.

The guide is weather permitting however we can explore the grounds of Calamocha together - wear appropriate footwear.

Join us for artisanal sourdough pizza for lunch by the Calamocha pool on Friday afternoon. Please let us know if your plans for the day means you won’t be joining us for lunch so we can plan accordingly.

We will be dining at the award winning El Corazon, a trendy vegetarian restaurant in Santa Teresa. They will setup a family style feast which will include a custom designed welcome Mezcal cocktail especially for us!

Servers will be available for you to order more drinks should you wish to start your own tab or grab mor drinks from the bar.

We will just car share and drive down to the town - the roads can be very muddy if it’s raining and are extremely bumpy so leave enough time (30 mins) from Manzanillo to get to the restaurant.

We are lucky to be celebrating our wedding with our closest friends and family. We would love for you to relax the morning of the wedding with some Costa Rican coffee. The wedding team will be setting up the venue during the day. Feel free to grab a light lunch before making your way to Calamocha.

Feel free to explore the area in Manzanillo and Santa Teresa for lunch on the wedding day. Santa Teresa boasts many great restaurants for you to explore!

We will arrange for transport to pick you up if you are not staying on the Calamocha Lodge to get you to venue without the need for your own car. We will also have a taxi service running at the end of the evening to drop people back.

Play up your glamazon rainforest chic lewks and embrace your inner jungle cat. Be your own fabulous you…we wouldn’t want anything else from our guests. Bring us your Charisma, Uniqueness, Nerve & Talent!

With that said, please leave your tuxedo, ballgown, and corset at home - you’ll be too hot in the humid rainforest.

The ceremony will start in the afternoon before sunset at 4:30 pm overlooking the rainforest. Please arrive by 4:00 pm. Enjoy nature and the sounds that will be curated for you before we exchange vows.

After our ceremony, comes cocktail hour and photos by the Rancho pool, which includes passed appetizers.

Dinner will be hosted on the terrace of Casa Zen and will be prepared by the award winning Chef Torsten Radtke of Ono Cuisine.

We will spend the night poolside to shake those cakes to some curated beats with some jungle cocktails!

Head into the jungle, visit the beach, take a trip to Santa Teresa, or just hang by one of the pools.

Brunch will be hosted at the Calamocha pool from 11 am to 1 pm.

You can use Sunday afternoon to schedule any activities you like with your property host.

Meet halfway between Calamocha and the surrounding Manzanillo villas for sunset drinks and a farewell dinner at Atardecer Dorado, a local favorite with stunning sea views.
