Zachary & Nicole

Zach has always been a city boy at heart, growing up in LA, surfing at the age of 15, and never knowing anything but sunny California days.

Nicole has been a prairie girl since day one, she has braved tornadoes and blizzards, and is proud of her Kansas roots. She was ready for a little adventure, and made the big move to LA during college.

We met while working at Target! Red and Khaki is an attractive look :)  At the time, Zach was a Store Director in Palmdale and Nicole was an HR Business Partner in the LA area, and we were introduced by a mutual friend (thank you Erika!)

Our worlds collided in the best way!

Over time Zach has had the chance to experience sub-zero weather in Kansas although his tractor driving skills have yet to reach sub-par. Zach has introduced Nicole to his home-grown LA experiences and convinced her that the west side is the best side.

In June 2017, Zach moved to Hawaii to open a new Target store.

For 3 years we lived 2,500 miles apart, across an ocean, and in different time zones...but distance made the heart grow fonder! 

We made the best of our long distance relationship with frequent flights between LA and Hawaii. We have many memories from our experiences of exploring the Hawaiian islands over the years, and we are excited to be getting married in Maui as it holds special significance to our relationship.

Zach proposed on February 6, 2021, and in true Zach-fashion, no time was wasted in making it happen.

- 3:08pm: called Nicole's dad for approval 

-4:22pm: picked up the ring

-6:15pm: set up camera for the proposal

-7:04pm: Nicole said YES!

Zach's 13 year old Boston Terrier, Archie, has played a big role in our relationship. Zach's love for Nicole has grown in direct proportion to her dog mom skills.

We cannot wait to say "I Do!" and celebrate with our closest family and friends in Maui!
