Walker and Emma
June 20, 2023

Walker and Emma met at the speakeasy, Unknown Caller, in Chattanooga, TN. Although they had grown up within 25 minutes of each other and both attended UGA, their paths never crossed until a pandemic brought them both back to their hometowns. The spark was instant — Emma ordered overpriced cocktails and Walker (having lost his wallet) paid in cash which was very impressive.
They were immediately inseparable. From going on dates day after day to weekend trips to Atlanta and the beach, they soon realized they were done for. They'd never go on a first date again.
Walker's first gift to Emma was a book and her first gift to him was a six-pack of Miller Lite. It was a match made in Heaven. Fast forward and they were committed to doing long distance, literally traveling the world to see each other. That proved to be too boring, so they decided to make their home together in Barbados.
When Emma had first visited Barbados (back when she would have to travel to the West Indies from Paris), Walker took her to his favorite spot on the island. It was the northernmost point of the country, enveloped by jagged cliffs, crashing waves, and clear-blue water. It was magical. When Emma moved in months later, he took her back to that spot. After she took a potty break behind a rock, he got down on one knee. After saying some words too explicit to be shared with family, she said yes.
They can't wait to be back in the United States and to live with their cat, Sirius, and to be within driving distance of a Trader Joe's, but as for right now, they are loving the island life.

Emma chose MG as her "little" in their sorority, ADPi. They ended up bonding over their self-pity and lots of wine. Instantly becoming best friends through the Cookout Drive-Thru and watching multiple shows together on Netflix, they became roommates and backpacked across Europe. Their cats, Fern and Sirius, are wedding guests in spirit.

Taylor and Emma met 15 years ago. Since then, Taylor has been like a sister to Emma, serving as hairstylist, wardrobe advisor, advice-giver, and friend. They share a love of antiquing, homegoods, candles, and Italian cooking music.

Morgan and Emma are soon-to-be sisters as Morgan is marrying Walker's brother, Colter. When they aren't playing the boys in Mario Kart, they're talking Trader Joe's, spending way too much money at Home Goods, and wedding planning.

other than Em

Andrew and I have been friends since kindergarten. In high school his parents went on a 10 day vacation without him so he came and lived with me. Needless to say our studies lapsed during this time. We had a pop quiz one morning during this week about the book The Count of Monte Critso. The question on the quiz was "what was the big thing that happened at the end of chapter 12?" Andrew wrote "the picture fell off the wall." I read this and thought to myself wow thats really specific. Andrew must have read the book. So I write the same answer. Turns out Andrew had not read the book, and the correct answer was a man comes out from a tunnel in Edmon's jail cell. We didn't pass the quiz.
