As frequent wedding guests ourselves, we greatly appreciate weddings that don't require us to think much. Therefore, when looking for a wedding venue we wanted to make sure our guests could check into a hotel and not have to worry about a thing! We HIGHLY encourage our guests to stay at Embassy Suites for the weekend. All events are in the hotel itself.

- Visit the BAPS Swaminarayan Mandir 

- Take a stroll through Railroad Park 

- Take a hike at Oak Mountain State Park, Red Mountain Park, or Ruffner Mountain Nature Preserve

-  Visit The Vulcan Statue and Museum

- Visit Sixteenth Street Baptist Church and the Birmingham Civil Rights District

- Enjoy indoor golfing at Top Golf

- Spend a day shopping at The Summit or The Outlet Shops of Grand River 

- Visit our local breweries (Avondale, Good People, Cahaba, TrimTab, Ghost Train, etc.)

- Spend a few hours at the Birmingham Zoo and then have a picnic at the Botanical Gardens

- Chuy's Mexican Restaurant: you have to try the Boom Boom Sauce  

- Amigo's Mexican Restaurant: ALL the dishes are so delicious, but don't forget to ask for "Patel Rice"

- Red Pearl Restaurant: General Tso's Tofu and Double Spicy Chicken are our favorites

- Falafel Cafe: definitely try their falafel's, but the spicy red sauce is a MUST! 

- El Barrio Restaurante Y Bar: must try their roasted chile relleno and chunky guacamole 

- Nothing But Noodles: try their Southwest Chipotle or Spicy Cajun noodles

- Fan of Thai food? Try out Shiki, Nori, Masaman, or Surin West 

- Feel like eating Indian food? Check out Sitar and Bay Leaf 

- If you love Italian food, try Gianmarco's Restaurant, Vecchia Pizzeria & Mercato, Alfredo's Pizza Cafe, Bellini's Ristorante & Bar, Giuseppe's Cafe, or Bottega
