Our First Encounter

We met on the night of July 4, 2014 while Dominic was out with some friends for his birthday and I was out with my cousin. After the club, my cousin and I were getting ready to head back to her place, but stopped in the parking lot while she spoke to some friends. I was standing off to the side speaking to someone to kill time until she was ready and out of no where an intoxicated, loud, and obnoxious person (Dominic) approached me and asked me my name. I replied with my name and he did not believe me for some reason, so asked to see my I.D. to verify. I showed it to him and then he tried to walk off with it, so I am there not only confused and annoyed having to try and get my I.D. back from this drunk weird person.

Fast forward to the following night my cousin and I were going out again and the friend she was talking to the night before was the same friend that picked us up to go out. I approach the car and guess who was inside? The annoying weird guy from the night before; Dominic! Of course I was not too thrilled to see him and obviously he did not remember meeting me the previous night because he started talking to and introducing himself as if it was the first time we were meeting.

He kept trying to make small talk in the car and I was trying to keep the conversation short because I was instantly annoyed when I saw him, lol! That night went well however, and for the next month while I was in Jamaica we spent more time talking and getting to know each other.

In October 2014 he surprised me by coming to visit me in Orlando, Florida for a couple days. It was then we decided we would really give this long distance relationship a try and here we are five years later ready to celebrate our love for each other with our family and friends.

Our Favourite Hobby

We love traveling to new countries and gaining new experiences. We both work really hard and rarely have time to ourselves, so when we can break away from work and our daily life responsibilities we try to relax and reset in a new place.

So far we’ve been to Costa Rica, Turks and Caicos, Bahamas, Dominican Republic, Mexico, and Colombia. The other countries on our travel list include: Peru, Greece, Spain, Ghana, Senegal, China, Japan, Thailand, Bali, and our dream destination; Maldives.

Our Family

Dominic has a nine years old son, Jaziah, who I call my “bonus boy” he’s the best son and big brother anyone could pray for. He is so well mannered, sweet, smart and wise beyond his years.

We had our youngest son, Jaxen, in April 2017. He has been a ball of energy since the day he entered this world. He loves his big brother to death.

Although it has been hard having the boys grow up away from each other we make sure they see each at least three times a year. They always pick up right where they leave off; it is amazing to see how much they love each other.
