We first met as coworkers, lost touch, then reconnected when we discovered our offices were right across the street from each other. Our first date was seeing "La Bohème" at the San Francisco Opera in 2014. C'est romantique!

May in 2015 was an exciting month! We joined friends for our first trip together, camping at Gualala. How Christopher looked in his sleeping bag delighted Aurora so much she lovingly rendered it in drawing.
Our first "I Love You" was shared soon afterwards on Aurora's birthday ... in front of a Subway. Embarrassing? More like unforgettable!

Our dates continued into 2015 .... We quickly discovered a shared love for music, the arts, and dressing up together for fancy parties.

Sporting our new do's, we marched forward as a couple in 2016 ...

2017 was a year full of hikes, trips, and mini shared adventures.

With heavy hearts, we left our separate apartments in San Francisco and headed to a warmer part of the bay, Oakland. It was a lot of work but worth it! We were so ready to begin the next chapter of our lives together.

The ultimate couple's costume: classic Halloween devils! We spent Halloween 2017 at The Color Factory, a pop up art show in San Francisco. We weren't the only people in costume there, but probably had the most fun!

The Vears gathered together in 2017 to celebrate Christmas, the 90th birthday of Grampy Vear, and Christopher's birthday. Aurora gets her first white Christmas, first lobster bake, and first meeting with the (awesome) extended Vear family cousins.

We ended the year meeting up with the best of friends Jess, Louie, Jen, and Edmund. It ended up being the coldest New Years Eve night in New York in 100 years! We bundled up, invaded piano bars, and danced until the wee hours of the morning.

We were over the moon to celebrate with special friends Jess and Louie on their wedding day in Wisconsin! Our trips to the Dells was equally unforgettable. The love and union of these two couldn't help remind us that we were both feeling like we were ready...

We visited Christopher's parents in sunny South Carolina for Thanksgiving in 2018. We loved exploring the beaches and learning some amazing history! Aurora felt one step closer to being a part of Christopher's family ...

Christmas with Aurora's family is always filled with warmth and laughter. Our family is quickly growing!

Our final trip of 2018 landed us in The Grand Canyon. We celebrated Christopher's birthday at the Meteor Crater. It was a magical trip with friends, full of snow, scenery, vortexes, and surprises ...

Who could have seen this coming? Not Aurora, apparently! She immediately said YES and ran off into the snowy night, full of emotions. We rang in the New Year as a newly engaged couple!

As our years progress, more of our friends and family have become parents! We hope to join the ranks one day, but in the meantime, we love watching these precious ones grow.

Aurora felt like she had always wanted to propose to Christopher, but he had beaten her to with the most perfect proposal. Collaborating with his best friends, she surprised him with his own engagement ring.

In the midst of the pandemic, we find our solace in the outdoors. Hikes on the weekends, neighborhood exploring, and soaking in all of the natural wonders Northern California has to offer helped us count down the days.

We were saddened to postpone such an important event, but we place the safety and health of our loved ones above all! We hope 2021 will be a better year and we can't wait to see you then!
