FAQs

WHAT IS THE DRESS CODE?
We'd love to see our friends and family dressed up for our big day. The dress code is formal attire. Think, Modern Glam Runway show.
WHAT DOES FORMAL ATTIRE MEAN?
"Formal attire" means that guests have the option of wearing their most formal attire (an evening gown, suit, or traditional formal Filipino Barong). Gentlemen may also choose to wear a linen suit, and ladies may choose tea-length or midi formal dresses. The wedding party will be dressed in formal attire. It's, therefore, courteous for guests to reflect this level of formality. No jeans, please!

HOW DO I RSVP?
You can click the RSVP tab and RSVP at any time. We will include a paper RSVP with the invite if you prefer to mail your RSVP back to us.

WHAT IF I DON'T RSVP IN TIME?
If you do not RSVP by August 30, you will be marked as "not attending." We would love to celebrate with you; however, we have to provide an exact guest count to our vendors and cannot accept late RSVPs.

WHAT SHOULD I DO IF I CAN'T MAKE IT?
You will be missed! If you cannot attend our wedding, please indicate "Decline" on your RSVP so we can plan accordingly. If you have already RSVP'd "Accept" but find that you will not make it, please adjust your RSVP on our website as soon as you are aware.

WHAT TIME SHOULD I ARRIVE TO THE CEREMONY?
Because the ceremony begins promptly at 5:00 p.m., we recommend you aim to arrive by 4:30 p.m. to ensure you can comfortably arrive on time.

CAN I BRING A DATE?
We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your invitation. If you have any questions, please reach out.

ARE CHILDREN WELCOME?
We will only accommodate those listed on your invitation. While we love all the children in our lives, we have decided to make this an adults-only celebration except for immediate family. We encourage you to use this trip as a fun getaway with your partner. If you have any questions, please reach out.

WILL THERE BE A BAR?
Yes! Beer, Wine, Whiskey, Rum, Tequila, Vodka, Gin, two specialty cocktails, and non-alcoholic beverages are on us! Each table will have its own waiter, and you can order all drinks with your waiter.

WILL THE WEDDING TAKE PLACE INDOORS OR OUTSIDE?
The ceremony and reception will both take place outdoors.

There are various routes to get to Merida, Yucatan.

If you are coming from Los Angeles, we suggest flying out of LAX- MID.  Merida has a small but beautiful airport that will drop you off in Merida. This is probably the most convenient airport if you will be staying in Merida. All of the Los Angeles flights do have a lay over. There are no direct flights.

If you prefer to fly direct, LAX to Cancun might be the route for you. Cancun is about a 3 1/2 hour car ride.

-There are many drivers that will do the route for about $250.  Also there is a wonderful transport system www.ado.com.mx For about $30 USD, let the Ado bus bring you into Merida. They have wifi, aircon, tv, and a bathroom. Cancun Airport has several terminals and ADO buses pick up from a range of very convenient locations right outside each terminal. Buses will drop you off at the ADO bus stations in Cancun, Playa del Carmen, Puerto Morelos, Tulum and Merida.

Also there are car rentals if you like to drive yourself.

Another way to get a direct flight is out of Tijuana. Tijuana to Merida has a direct route, and is usually the most inexpensive of all the options.

Comida

- Rosas y Xocolate , it is also a boutique hotel and spa , with a delicious romantic restaurant

- kuuk Restaurant if you are feeling high end. It is a gastronomic experience and in an old Casona that held the clergy, the bar is the former chapel. This is on the pricier side of Merida cuisine, but is worth the experience. Ask for the full tour at the end of your meal!   http://www.kuukrestaurant.com/

-Museo de la Gastronomia Yucateca
Traditional Yucateco Comida, the lechon is delicious here and it’s in a beautiful hacienda type building with a gorgeous outdoor patio.

-Uxmal,  much closer than Chichen, and much less touristy. In the south of Yucatan, the archaeological zone of Uxmal, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, emerges spectacularly. It is one of the archaeological zones of the Mayan culture whose architecture is one of the most majestic in Yucatan. Its beauty is characterized by having low and horizontal palaces, placed around patios or quadrangles, which are rich in decorations of highly detailed sculptures made with thousands of small stones perfectly polished and adjusted, forming geometric mosaics of unparalleled perfection in the entire area. -Mayapán, known as "Bandera de los Mayas", is considered to be the last great Mayan capital. It has an extension of 4 km2, in which there are approximately 4,000 structures. Mayapan is also very close to Merida and definitely worth the trip.
