Wedding Ceremony

"The Bridegroom is Coming!"

There will be a period of time from the betrothal until the wedding ceremony where Uriah and I will prepare for the wedding and becoming one in the fullest sense. Uriah will spend this time preparing our home (a travel trailer) and I will spend it preparing things to fill our home on wheels, the wedding garments (I’m making them, prayers appreciated :) but will be under some wonderful guidance), and we both will be preparing ourselves Spiritually for a life together.

The wedding will represent the consummation of this marriage and will be a joyous celebration. Uriah will come for his bride, who will be waiting in pure white linen garments, riding a white horse :). We'll enter into our union with our first kiss at the wedding ceremony. Light refreshments will be provided with some fellowship and celebration to follow the ceremony. If you aren't able to make both the ceremony and the celebration event, we recommend you come for the ceremony. It will be another blessed time and a picture of the excitement and expectancy we have while waiting for our Bridegroom Yeshua to come back for us riding the white horse.

Scripture References

Revelation

-Reveleation 19-
6 And I heard, as it were, the voice of a great multitude, as the sound of many waters and as the sound of mighty thunderings, saying, “Alleluia! For the Lord God Omnipotent reigns! 7 Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready.” 8 And to her it was granted to be arrayed in fine linen, clean and bright, for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints.

9 Then he said to me, “Write: ‘Blessed are those who are called to the marriage supper of the Lamb!’ ” And he said to me, “These are the true sayings of God.”

-Revelation 21-
11 Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war. 12 His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns. He had a name written that no one knew except Himself. 13 He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God. 14 And the armies in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses. 15 Now out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it He should strike the nations. And He Himself will rule them with a rod of iron. He Himself treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. 16 And He has on His robe and on His thigh a name written:
KING OF KINGS AND
LORD OF LORDS.

-Revelation 22-
1 Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea. 2 Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. 4 And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.”

5 Then He who sat on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.” And He said to me, “Write, for these words are true and faithful.”

6 And He said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts. 7 He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son. 8 But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.” 17 And the Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let him who hears say, “Come!” And let him who thirsts come. Whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely.

Wedding Celebration

It is Complete!

Celebrate with Uriah and Nicole as they are officially Echad "One." There will be a great feast with Alaskan salmon, Kallstrom grown apricot squash, lentil stew, doughnuts and lots of celebration!

This is also the 8th and final day of Hannukah, a joyous time and truly a picture of the "new and higher beginnings" including in their new union.

We are in Covenant!!

Blessed Betrothal Ceremony

What a truly blessed day by Adoni. We read and signed our Ketubah, drank from the cup, Uriah paid the bride price to Gary and gave a ring to Nicole and we experienced our first touch coming into covenant with a foot washing. Lastly, we held hands for the first time. Many were there to witness and celebrate and we are so grateful for all of the love, blessings and support.

What is a Betrothal Ceremony?

Following the Biblical Path

The Biblical picture of two becoming one in a marriage covenant is rather foreign, but certainly not new. Our betrothal will include the most important part, which is signing the Ketubah we both will have written. The Ketubah includes our vows before God and eachother. We will sign it and be in a covenant with one another, but won’t come together (consummate) until the wedding ceremony where we will be one in the fullest sense (late December). There are many examples of betrothal in the Bible, one being Joseph and Mary, but also is how God relates to us in our relationship with Him. Right now, when we turn to Him, He betroths Himself to us. Dirty garments and all (see this in Hosea). But a transformation takes place after that time by His Grace and the blood of the Lamb (Yeshua/Jesus) as we learn to walk in His ways. Yeshua went away and said He is preparing a place for us, but is coming back for His Bride, who has made herself ready and will be in pure white linen garments, spotless, representing the righteousness of Yeshua (Revelation). From there, there will be the wonderful wedding supper of the Lamb and we will dwell with Him. Likewise, after the wedding ceremony, Uriah and I will then dwell together for our lifetimes. There’s sooo much more, but that’s a super quick snapshot. I encourage you to do some study yourself to gain a fuller picture.... it’s not without tremendous blessing to understand how the Father has betrothed Himself to us and our roles now and in the future (may He (Yeshua Messiah) come quickly).

We pray that as we submit to God’s leading and His set apart ways, He will be glorified through our lives and actions. Both Uriah and Nicole pray you are able to make it and be richly blessed by The Father’s perfect love and goodness revealed through His Son Yeshua our true Bridegroom who is coming again. This time He will be coming to consummate the marriage with His Bride through the Wedding Supper of The Lamb. Not only something to prepare for but be excited about!
