How we met... according to David

Trisha was in Texas with her Mom. I was in a New York apartment. Both on lockdown and contemplating the future. Which is to say, we met on a dating app. We exchanged a few messages and I was interested. She was skeptical.

I quickly realized innovation would be required and suggested a FaceTime. I showered and prepared for our date, called at the appropriate time, she saw the call, continued playing with her niece, and declined. Yes friends, I was stood up on the first date!

Ha, little did she know who she was dealing with! I noted her anticipated return to NY, and I waited. "Hello again. It’s been some time. I hope you are well?... interested in a drink at St. Tropez next week?" She could not resist me.

We connected over our small-town history and later determined the word small is relative. We laughed over the awkwardness of first dates. She was beautiful, poised, thoughtful. Conversation was easy. Trisha waited for the red flag that never came or that she graciously chose to ignore. I walked her home and left looking forward to what might be.

... and here we are folks! In love, excited for this beginning, united in purpose, and looking forward to celebrating with you!

Trisha’s Parents

March 18th is a very special date for me because it's my parents wedding anniversary.  My mom and dad had an incredible marriage, we were so lucky to have them as role models!  I am soooo grateful for my parents.  We lost my dad some years ago and I will be thinking of him every minute on our day.

Sisters

Anyone who is lucky enough to have a sister knows the best moments are those when you glance at each other across the room and just crack up laughing... because only you two really GET what or who is funny.

Asha and I GET each other.  Like really GET.  It gives me a lot of security in my life to have her.

She also is killin life right now - a rising doctor, a great wife and a mom to the girls who have completely stolen my heart.

Can't wait for everyone to meet the beautiful Adams family in March!

Love note to Trisha’s NYC Fam

I’ve spent many years single in NYC but never once felt alone. To my NYC fam, thank you for everything you have done for me but most importantly being consistent. I feel your love every minute and not a day goes by where we don’t connect just to reinforce our relationship. You guys constantly make me laugh those types of tears belly pee-in-your-pants laughs that some may only experience a few times in their life.

I can’t tell you how much I appreciate how you welcomed Dave without question and treat him like your own brother. We are overwhelmed with gratitude and humility for having such incredible people like you to be with us at every stage of our new journey.

I will always be here for every one of you.  Steph, Sabina, Jon, Karan, Said, Abdullah, Carlo, Ben and Charlie - you are my chosen family.  Thanks for bringing me to this day.
