Dining

Cottage Grove has some delicious farm to table restaurants and food trucks that we love.

Coast Fork and Feed

Coast Fork and Feed features 12 rotating taps of local libations as well as beverages from around the world. Their food is homemade, farm fresh and locally sourced. You have to try their homemade meat pies!

Jack Sprats

Located in Historic Downtown Cottage Grove, Jack Sprats offer a diverse menu that can accommodate Vegan, Vegetarian, and Gluten Free lifestyles. You can't go wrong with any of their dishes or burgers but my absolute favorite thing to order is the stuffed poblano pepper.

The ambiance here is amazing and they often have live music on random weekdays.  Don't forget to grab a cupcake on the way out!

BGQ's Doner Kebab Food Truck

Located in the city center of Cottage Grove at the Coast Fork Farm Stand, this food truck serves up a mean Turkish Doner Kebab.  I had never heard of a Doner Kebab before stopping by one day, but it quickly has become one of my go-to spots.  A Doner Kebab is very similar to a Gyro as far as the contents but it is served in almost a panini-style pita (crunchy and warm).  Try it spicy; I promise you won't be disappointed!

Things to Do

Want to make a vacation out of your trip to Oregon?  Why don't you check out some of the beauty that Oregon has to offer.  After all, it is why we chose to call this area our home!

Hike Spencer Butte

This popular hike is up the tallest visible point in Eugene at 2,055 feet.  The main hiking trail is 1.08 miles and climbs just over 700' in elevation.  The 360 degree view of the Willamette Valley that await you at the top are well worth the heavy breathing and sweat equity you will have to put in to get there.  If you have the option, pack a picnic lunch to enjoy at the summit!

Tamolitch Blue Pool

Once a majestic waterfall, the McKenzie River has changed course and gone underground a few miles up stream. The river only flows over the falls a few times a year, the rest of the time the water emerges from the rocks underwater in the basin of waterfall pool.

One of the first things you’ll notice is the color of the water. The topaz blue color of the water is almost iridescent – like a blue anti-freeze. The water is so clear that is seems to be only about 5 ft deep – yet closer inspection will reveal that in many spots its over 30 ft deep. So pure in fact that you’d swear the water wasn’t moving – yet at the end of this glass like pond – a volume of water rushes out as the McKenzie River is reborn.

Crater Lake

Crater Lake has long attracted the wonder and admiration of people all over the world. Its depth of 1,943 feet (592 meters) makes it the deepest lake in the United States, and the ninth deepest in the world. Its fresh water is some of the clearest found anywhere in the world. The interaction of people with this place is traceable at least as far back as the eruption of Mount Mazama. Founded May 22, 1902, Crater Lake National Park seeks to preserve these natural and cultural resources.

Wine Country

Our home is located in the heart of the Willamette Valley, world renown for their Pinot Noir.  One of my favorite things to do is take a drive through wine country and stop for a few tastings.

King Estate Winery

King Estate is the largest winery in Oregon. They offer complimentary Winery Tours at the top of each hour until 5:00pm every day of the week. Reservations are recommended by calling the Restaurant at 541.685.5189.

LaVelle Vineyards

LaVelle Vineyard is by far my favorite winery and will be featured at our wedding reception!  It is a bit off the beaten path, but well worth the drive.  The tasting room staff are kind and helpful, the property is beautiful, and you just have to try their White Pinot Noir on a hot day.   Don't miss this hidden gem.

Silvan Ridge

This winery was my first love when I discovered that I enjoyed wine.  They are not pretentious and hold the best Friday Night live music events.  My favorite Silvan Ridge wine is the Early Muscat.

Saginaw Vineyard

Saginaw Vineyard is a small winery located just off of I-5.  The tasting room is in a quaint red barn and the vineyard doubles as a u-pick farm during the summer season.  They are known for their farm-fresh fruit wines.  A lovely place to stop by for a tasting.
