Our love Story
Our love Story
Where it all began

From Tomi

Angels designed my path to align with eternal love.

It all started on a trip with a few close friends to Birmingham - West Midlands, UK, in February 2022. This trip came with a lot of self persuasion considering I had a lot of work pressure at the time; still, I decided to visit my friend. My friend hosted a party at his house to entertain some other mutual friends and I was literally being myself at the party that night until a beautiful angel was asked to come sit beside me during the games. She dazzled with this ethereal beauty and self-aware demeanor that was laced with confidence - that very moment I couldn’t resist the temptation of bitting my lips and teasing my brains to start up conversations with her. She gave some matured takes to our small chit chat and acted unimpressed about my personality (she must be a good actress I thought in my mind lol) but we exchanged contacts that night and left it at that.

A few weeks later, I reckoned she was planning a trip to London and decided to follow up with her to check up on her plans - little did I know that the decision of reaching out to her again will be the start of the best decision I have ever made. We spoke on the phone for the first time on 4th March 2022, from that day, she became a part of me. We continuously spoke over the phone for several hours across different nights and days to the extent that I could write a book about her before her trip to London; these began to build the foundation to a solid friendship. We had some meaningful conversations about our interesting pasts, hobbies, shared values and unbelievable dreams for the future during her visit to London whilst I remember telling myself that I have been blessed with a great woman.

Our bond goes back to the earliest memories of celebrating her distinction in her Masters Degree in April 2022 and as we began to spend more time together, we shared everything - from laughters and exotic adventures to misunderstandings and life uncertainties. Our partnership, both personal and professional flourished as we found something rare and beautiful in each other. Amongst many things, the energetic and naive socialite with boundless enthusiasm of one person has elegantly complimented the other person’s air of gentle wisdom with grace of discernment and creativity of transforming the ordinary to extraordinary.

From Toyin

I wasn’t searching when I found you… but the first day we met, I knew you were IT for me!

We met on the 26th of February 2022. I doubt any of us thought this would be the day we would meet our future spouses. I woke up that morning to attend a wedding my friend had invited me to, not knowing that would be the day I would meet the one I would wed. My plans were simple, attend the wedding ceremony and go back home to watch a cartoon after the Owambe (Nigeria wedding party) before sleep takes me away, this was the perfect plan for me. After the wedding, my friend told me about a party her friend would be throwing as his friends were coming over from London. I did not want to attend being the introvert I am, I was however convinced by my friend to attend and also considering i was hungry, I decided to attend the party.

On getting there, I sat with my friends while we played games and I ate some jollof rice like I had never eaten before without knowing my future husband was watching me. After a few minutes the ‘game master’ decided to rearrange our sitting positions to make the games more fun and I ended up sitting beside Tomi.

Blown away by my beauty, mesmerised by my presence, astounded at God’s creation and engrossed in my radiance, Tomi had to think of a way to talk to this beauty sat beside him and he said, ‘Hi, my name is Tomi’ I looked at him without much thought and said, ‘hi, I’m Toyin’ I turned back to focus on the games as i did not want to loose without knowing I had made Tomi loose focus and he couldn’t help himself but try to figure out a way to talk to me once more. Being the fast thinker that he is, he immediately spotted I was wearing and Apple Watch which he also wore, he spoke to me again saying, ‘I love your Apple Watch, do you track your steps with it?’ Fortunately for Tomi I wasn’t aware I could track my steps with my watch at the time and this made me ask, ‘oh really, I didn’t know’ and Tomi joyous in his heart as he had found new grounds to communicate with me said confidently, ‘oh yes you can, I could show you how to set it up’…

After the games, we exchanged instagram handles. I went back home to the comfort of my bed and he went back to London, this was the beginning of a love story.

My office used to be in London while I lived in Birmingham, I was going to London that week and Tomi coincidentally reached out to me. We decided to meet up after a long phone call that felt so natural you wouldn’t believe we hadn’t known each other for years. We met up in London after work and we talked about life, morals and plans, realising we had a lot of shared values and beliefs. That evening, I didn’t want the conversation we had to end, it felt like I was speaking to another part of me. As Tomi gazed into my eyes I could tell he felt what I felt, it was real, it was genuine and after that conversation, I knew I had met the man I would marry. I went back to Birmingham feeling happy and knowing a blessed relationship had begun.

The Engagement

From Toyin

Tomi asked me out after 2 months and we began dating and working towards our relationship. We traveled together, shared laughters, pain and joy. 1 year and 9 months later Tomi knew he had to propose as he couldn’t wait for me to be his wife. I had the most beautiful proposal in Monte Carlo overlooking both France and Italy. I couldn’t have dreamed of a more romantic and thoughtful proposal.

It has been 2 years of friendship, love and joy. We are grateful that we get to experience this gift God has given us. We are happy to be celebrating this wonderful union with all our friends and family, thank you for your love and support.

From Tomi

1 year 9 months after we started dating, with both hearts full of joy and both faces beaming of happiness while enjoying the luxurious panoramic views stretching from the enchanting shores of Italy to the skyline of Monte Carlo, Monaco, I went down on one knee, and of course, I got an emphatic “Yes”. We were engggaaaaged. Our love story rooted in a happenstance meeting in the United Kingdom has become a testament to the beauty of serendipity and the power of shared values. As we embark on this lifelong marital journey woven into the fabric of strong friendship and God’s leadership, we both look forward to our continued growth, building a life filled with love, inspiration and endless adventures.

I can't wait to call you wife, Oluwatoyin.

We cannot wait for you to celebrate our big day with us as we remain grateful for the love and support from our family and friends! Get ready to celebrate in London, party like nobody is watching and let the good times roll as we present to you #TeeGotSpiced.

Met the couple through my fiancé (friend of the couple). First time I heard about the couple, I thought “omg they’re so adorable” - met Tomi first, a standard guy! With an amazing personality. He welcomed me as a friend and sister, I didn’t realise how much I needed this at the time. Tomi, I want to be like you when I grow up.

Now my HR buddy! I connected with Toyin based on mutual career paths, then found out we had lots in common, even our sisters bare the same name lol. Toyin has been a 10/10 friend since I’ve known her. I appreciate her honesty always, and her cooking :)

Toyin and Tomi truly are a perfect match made in heaven. I’m honoured to serve as a bridesmaid, witnessing their union and I wish the couple many happy years!!

I met Tomi at a musical concert in the UK and I met Toyin through Tomi also in the UK. They are both amazing fun to be around people with positive vibes. I pray as they begin this journey together that God goes ahead of them and perfects all that concerns their union.

Love you both and wishing you guys all the bliss, joy and happiness that comes with marriage ♥️

I first met Toyin on a WhatsApp call with Tomi and my husband one evening. I remember the joy in Tomi’s face and voice when he introduced Toyin as his girlfriend to me, and then left Toyin and I to bond.

The conversation with Toyin was pleasant. She struck me as a sweet and posh girl. Getting to know Toyin more, I can tell she is also outspoken with a gentle soul. Her sweetness boils down to the little things she does from constantly checking up on me to giving very thoughtful gifts.

For a while now, the couple have been family and it’s been love all the way with spicy sprinkles. Watching their bond and growth has been such a joy. And to see you both becoming husband and wife is exhilarating. I love you both so much and wish you both an amazing marriage.

Alright, let's flip the script and groove to the tale of how I met the bride…. It all went down at this groovy…..errrmmm….. errrrrmmmmm…. I’m still stuttering but Yh… I remember she strutted into a mutual friend’s room in a pinkish goldish hair, not so blue bum shorts and black crop top and said, "Hey, let's be friends," and I was like, "Preach it Sister”. Our friendship hit the dance floor. We shared laughs, secrets, and maybe a few too many fun times. So, here's to the bride

I met the bride when she sent me a dm as a stalker that she is before coming to the uk. We stayed together for 3 years and became close pals before she found the love of her life and he is whisking her away. I wish the couple the best in the new phase of their life. I pray that God grants them the favour in all their endeavours.

I met Toyin through a mutual friend and began a beautiful friendship. Toyin is a good friend, constantly looks out for me but annoying in between. I wouldn’t trade this friendship for anything! (Maybe a plate of fisherman soup!).

I met Spice through Alonso. It’s quite strange how close we’ve become because less than 2 years ago if you had asked me who Tomi Spice was I’d have been like Tomi who now? But yeah that’s largely testament to the great personality that he is. Spice has been such a great friend and I don’t mean that like any random great friend (yes, your great friend is random) I mean that like a great friend that just barely a year after meeting, travels from London to Lagos for your wedding, be part of your groomsmen, helps you ensure everything goes as planned and be a great vibe from start to finish. Spice, Teni and I don’t take you for granted ❤️ You’ve been a friend and more.
And as if one Spice wasn’t enough, then comes Toyin to add extra special seasoning. I met Toyin through Tomi and you could just tell they are meant for each other. Two absolutely lovely people. Can’t forget how Toyin single-handedly created the website for my wedding. She chased us for our story, our pictures and every other detail until it was created. Toyin, you’re a gem.

The Spices, Teni and I are incredibly happy for you guys. You’re so special to us. You’ve been a great couple friend, from random visits to each other’s places, to playing games, to laughing, praying, dancing - well not so dancing as the day God was sharing talent for dancing both of you travelled. That aside, knowing you both is such a pleasure. I still remember how we randomly mentioned we were starving around 1 a.m. on our way back from Montenegro, only for us to get home and meet Egusi and pounded yam delivered to us. Ah, Toyin and Tomi, you’d ask for bread and God will give you bakery. This union is blessed. Your marriage shall be filled with so much joy and happiness and bliss.

I wish you a wedding celebration that is beautiful in every way. Love you both.

I knew there was something special about Tomi the first time I met him. It wasn’t just the calm welcoming aura; it wasn’t just about how intelligent, confident and supportive he was (and still is), it was his person..it was him!

Tomi and I connected on almost all possible levels. I remember we had very deep conversations about our plans for the future and I’m so excited we are now living it! Deloitte gifted me a brother!

I am glad I have been part of Tomi and Toyin’s journey so far and it’s been incredible. Match made in heaven! The Spices have been family and we are so blessed to have you in our corner! This is just the beginning, Spices, may you never lose your shine and awesomeness!

Tomi is a thorough person, you all should know by now. I mean, if I was asked 10 years ago who’d be first to get married, he’s my ideal pick. We met in 2011, first year in Uni, he was my classmate and we’ve become brothers ever since. We read together (my scholar), partied together and when it was time to do the right thing, he never lagged. Looking back at everything, his life choices, he’s always made the right decisions and it continues to be evident with Toyin. He deserves this, he deserves all the love in this world, cause he’s so full of love himself. I love you brother and I’m super proud of you, as always.

So, here’s to Tomi and his queen, May you both live as long as you like, and have all you like for as long as you live - Your union is blessed in Jesus name.

I first met my friend at university back in 2011, but it wasn't until 2012 that we began talking. From the start, it was clear he stood out as the smartest guy among our friends, with a sharp intellect and quick wit. Not only was he admired for his intelligence, but he also had a knack for charming everyone he met, earning him the title of the "ladies' man" among our group. Interestingly, he also had a reputation as a financial saving man, demonstrating his foresight and practicality even at a young age.

Our friendship blossomed over shared interests and mutual respect, laying the foundation for many memorable experiences and adventures together.

Tomi and I were colleagues that found essence in brotherhood. He was always an intelligent and ambitious person and, on any day, those are the right type of energy to surround oneself with. But more importantly, Tomi is a good guy and it is especially that that is why he is such a cherished friend. Tomi introduced me to Toyin on a visit to mine and they were kind enough to bring me this plate of spicy jollof that was bursting with the right flavors in the right proportions. Except that I might give away my vulnerability to good food, I would confess that that day I became pro-TeegotSPICED before it was even conceived – and I remain a religious believer till tomorrow and the day after.

There is not a doubt that this union has all the pre-requisites of patience and a will and commitment to service for the bliss we all wish and pray for them, and it’s my pleasure to play a part in ushering them into it!

I met Tomi back in 2021 and this was via a work skype call but instead of talking about work, we were talking about plans of going to Burna’s show . I eventually met Tomi in person at Burna’s show and since then it’s been positive vibes althrough.

I met Toyin through Tomi and they are both wonderful people! I’m a friend to the couple !

I’m so excited for Toyin & Tomi and as they begin the journey to forever I pray that all the fruits of true unconditional love will be theirs. A beautiful life together awaits both of you!

I met Tomi as a bubbly young dude visiting the Lagos office from Abuja during our early career days at Deloitte. What struck me the most about him then was his infectious positive energy shown even to people he was only meeting for the first time.

Fast forward to a few years later, we reconnected after both moving to the UK, and have since been bosom friends till date.

Coincidentally, I was present on the day Tomi met Toyin for the first time in London, and it has been my joy and pleasure to watch them grow together as friends, lovers and now ultimately as man & wife. The couple fall under the category of friends who have now become family and an integral part of my life.

I wish you guys every good thing you wish for yourselves and even more. And I pray, Gods blessings never depart from your home.

Now, as my friend embarks on this new chapter of life, I toast to love and happiness.

Our shared experiences and mutual interests allowed us to forge a bond that transcended those NYSC days. A bond that has now blossomed into a beautiful friendship, one that has withstood the test of time, where we get to celebrate important moments and milestones together.

I met Tomi in 2016 during the National Youth Service Corps program in Benin City, Edo State. At first, I sensed a kindred spirit and recognized him as a cool guy, yet little did I know that our encounter would be the beginning of a lasting friendship.

I met Tomi back in Deloitte Nigeria, where we attended series of training together. From the very beginning, it was evident that Tomi possessed an intriguing and captivating personality hence, we got along & have gotten even closer in the past 2-3yrs as he became my London landlord lol.

It was through Tomi's gracious introduction that I had the privilege of meeting Toyin, the enchanting woman who would capture my heart with her serene and captivating presence whose, calmness perfectly complemented Tomi’s energy.

May Tomi and Toyin's journey be filled with a lifetime of shared laughter, unbreakable bonds, and boundless love. I rejoice in their happiness and eagerly anticipate the countless memories they will create together. Congratulations to the extraordinary couple.

I met Tomi through my Homeboy Alonso just shortly before I relocated to the UK in 2021. Apparently, we had even met before and rode to the office together in the same car but couldn’t remember. Eventually met Spice in person in the UK summer of 2021 and since then we have been brothers, Family really! For Life! I met Toyin through one of her Friends Lola who is also my friend.
As the Plug that I am, Tomi and Toyin met at a Games gathering at my house during a weekend visit to my city Birmingham for Chills. The Holy Spirit gave me the wisdom to ensure they were seated beside each other, and truth be told the remainder is history. When they exchanged numbers on that day, I do not know but the most important thing is at least I know when they are getting married and that’s one of the biggest joys to my heart ever!
From the onset when they started talking, I knew this could be the beginning of something great. As the illegal middleman that I was, one thing I saw from both ends, Toyin especially, was the intention to make Tomi her man. Just one random conversation with Toyin and I knew she knew what she wanted and was going for Gold. As for my brother Tomi, Hmmmmmmmmm. God dey ! Everything started like play but now it’s the real deal and its happening!
Tomi Spice is a great guy, one of the smartest guys I know. He treated me like a brother from day one and I could not help but do the same. Thank you Toyin for agreeing to be with and marry our brother because if not for you he might still be on the streets of South London in a hoodie looking for a wife.
Cheers to the best years ahead! Congratulations my people. Jiggy wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!

Meeting with Tomi was pretty much the “most random meet ever“ I say this because on that faithful evening - we both had to take public transportation back home from work - what are the odds ? . Fast forward to almost near a decade later here we are! Dear Tomi, your steps have truly been ordered by God and I’m happy to be a part of this journey with you and Toyin. To Forever
