Travel & Accommodations
Please double-check that your passport is valid for six months from the day you leave Mexico. While Mexico only requires that a passport is not expired, most airlines require a six-month window. If you do not have a passport or need to have it renewed, we recommend doing so AS SOON AS POSSIBLE to avoid costly rush fees and unnecessary stress. There have been a lot of delays for passport renewals this year, so DO NOT PROCRASTINATE.
Trust us... Prior to our trip to Mexico, Tony had an issue with his birth certificate, which required a rush filing for a new birth certificate, a visit to a notary public, and a rush order on a Passport – a $400 total expense! Don't be like Tony!

We have a recommended travel agent if you would like any help booking flights, hotels or excursions. Eileen has been wonderful in helping us find accommodations and is familiar with our wedding party. She does not charge a fee for booking, instead she works with airlines and hotels directly to cover her costs.
If you would like to have someone book a large group of flights or find the best hotel, this is a great option.

Airport: Mexico City International Airport (MEX)
Most major airlines have direct flights into MEX from major US cities. The airport is about a 30 minute Uber to most hotels (depending on traffic conditions).
Flights out of LAX typically cost between $250 - $350. Flights out of SFO typically cost between $550 - $650
For SoCal/Inland Empire residents, we recommend flying out of Tijuana (TJI) as prices are much cheaper – from $100 - $150. This method involves parking at the Cross Border Express, walking across the border via skybridge, and taking a shuttle to the airport. For a detailed breakdown of this method, visit this website.
The wedding Party will be staying in La Condesa neighborhood at Casa Decu.

AirBnBs
There is no shortage of gorgeous and affordable AirBnBs in Mexico city. You can find a hand picked selection, near our own accomodations here.
Alternative Accommodations: Mexico City (CDMX) has many beautiful neighborhoods and pockets to explore with a vast range of accommodation options. If you decide to stay at another hotel or Airbnb we recommend staying in the Roma Norte, Polanco or Condesa neighborhoods as they provide the full Mexico City Experience. Guests are also welcome to accommodations closer to the venue in the Coyoacan neighborhood which is about 30-45 minutes from the Mexico City center.
Ubers are our recommended mode of transportation in between events. Make sure to download the app before you arrive. They are frequent, reliable, cost-effective, and safer than taxis.
Airport > Hotel: We highly recommend taking an Uber from the airport, as opposed to a cab. When you open the Uber app at the airport after going through customs, make sure the location is the Mexico City Airport, and then it will ask for the Terminal. All flights coming to Mexico City from the US fly into Terminal 1, so put Terminal 1. It will then ask for the "puerta" which means door. There are door numbers throughout Terminal 1, so put the door number that you exit through out of the terminal so the Uber knows where to pick you up (the closes door is 7)
