Things to Do

Worth Avenue

Considered the fifth avenue of Palm Beach, worth avenue is an upscale shopping and dining district in Palm Beach, Florida. The Avenue stretches four blocks from Lake Worth to the Atlantic Ocean.

Worth Avenue also includes smaller, architecturally significant "vias" off the main avenue. These pedestrian areas distinguish Worth Avenue from other shopping streets.

If you don't go to shop, it is still home to beautiful gardens and great food.

Henry Morrison Flagler Museum

Henry Flagler is an American financier and partner of John D. Rockefeller, Sr., in establishing the Standard Oil Company. Flagler also pioneered in the development of Florida as a U.S. vacation center. His buildings are well known to most Floridians.

Whitehall or the Flagler museum is a 75-room Gilded Age mansion open to the public in Palm Beach, Florida. It was built for his third wife, Mary Lily Kenan. The site of the home was purchased for $50,000 in 1893 (as of 2010 that would be $1,197,562.39).

It is now a popular wedding venue and museum.
