Join us for an unforgettable evening filled with joy, music, and vibrant celebrations as we kick off the weekend with our Sangeet. Traditionally a night where both families come together to sing, dance, and rejoice, the Sangeet is all about laughter, love, and lively performances. Whether you’re showcasing your own moves or cheering from the sidelines, your energy and excitement will make the night truly special.


We will be providing transportation to the venue and back from the Hyatt Regency Jersey City On The Hudson. Shuttles will be leaving at 5:15 PM

The brunch will be immediately followed by our wedding baraat/ceremony.

The Baraat: 1 - 2 PM 

The Baraat is a joyful wedding procession that traditionally marks the groom’s arrival at the ceremony, often featuring dancing, music, and a grand entrance. It's a celebration of union, filled with exuberance and rhythm.

Hindu Ceremony: 2 - 3 PM 

The Hindu wedding ceremony is a sacred and vibrant celebration rooted in centuries-old traditions. Centered around the mandap (a ceremonial canopy), the ceremony is a beautiful blend of spirituality, family, and festivity, uniting not just two individuals, but two families in joy and commitment.

Following the ceremony, there will be a short break before the reception begins.

Dress Code

Semi-Formal Western or Indian Attire 

Please refrain from wearing all white or all red to the ceremony

Note: our wedding ceremony will be held outdoors (weather permitting) so please dress accordingly.

The wedding reception is our chance to celebrate love, laughter, and the start of forever with the people who mean the most to us. Join us for an evening of dinner, dancing, and heartfelt toasts as we party the night away!

We have a room block reserved for our guests at the Hyatt Jersey City. Please use the below link to reserve your room. The last day to reserve a room at the room block rate is 6/16/2025

Our room block link is now closed - unfortunately, hotel room prices are extremely expensive outside of our room block rate due to the FIFA Club World Cup.

Given this, we have 1-2 extra reservations in case anyone did not book their room by the above deadline. Please email tinakushary@gmail.com if you did not book your hotel for our wedding weekend but would still like to and we will do our best to accommodate you using one of these extra reservations!
