T&K Wedding

We met in uni, she was friends with several of my friends but we never really spoke (technically). Fast forward a few years later I ran into her at a mutual friend's family event and we really got talking.

We went to ABUAD together, so I knew of him but from a distance. When I graduated, I met him properly again at a mutual friend’s event.

The short answer is that I involved God. We went through some things that forced me to question whether or not we were to get married and we (very funnily) simultaneously heard from God actually. I’m now grateful for those times because of the certainty it gave me, I’ve not doubted or even wondered about it ever since.

Simply put: I got conviction. I never doubted we'd get married, I was in for the long run once we started dating. But I knew I needed God's confirmation so we (tried to) detached and wait for God's feedback. I'll confess, I was giving Him all the reasons to say yes cause you don't know what you have till it feels like you might just lose it. Lucky for me He legit said 'go get her' in the most biblical way possible.

She said it first lmao! I was nervous going into our relationship thanks to previous experiences. Timilehin saying 'I love you' helped me settle in and be more expressive as well.

Lool we’re not your typical couple. We had been talking marriage for a while and we solidified it that day in the car when we both told each other what we felt was God’s thoughts on the matter. A month or two down the line, he asked me to marry him early one morning at a restaurant that I love. It was exactly what I wanted, the privacy and intimacy. I knew it was coming obviously and it still made me cry. Thank you again Kitan ️<3

Favourite is hard but let me touch the surface.
Timilehin is an unravelling powerhouse. She has a loving heart, and she's always growing thanks to her open-minded and objective out-look amongst other things. There's also her intimate connection with God.
Having our strengths harmonise as much as they do isn't something I consider mere coincidence.

How do I pick one favourite thing... I love how he continually tries to go after God’s heart, he embodies answers to prayers I didn’t even know I had. I absolutely hit jackpot with this one!!

Kitan was more nervous about dating me than he is now about marrying me. Isn’t that weird?

Timilehin might be better at recognising you by your feet than your face. She can probably analyse your personality by seeing your toes.

God. Individually He has taught me, endorsed and debunked principles from people and mentors around me. This has continued as a couple. We've learnt so much from mentors, study together, conversations, observations and the occasional word dropped in our hearts. And God has been there to verify it all.
