" Rudo pakutanga kufona." We fell for each other before we even met in person! Simply put, our story can be summed up with two words "true love". Our story doesn't start was a made for movie introduction, or an adventurous over the top first date but with one phone call. One phone call built a lasting connection, true friendship and a everlasting love. That one call lasted two hours and from there it was followed by countless mid-day text messages, frequent Facetime dates, countless flights, trips, and many holidays spent together. We talked to each other every day since that first call. Although the majority of our relationship was spent long distance we never felt even a mile apart. We are two souls that are destined to be together so there was no amount of distance that could have kept us apart; not even a global pandemic.
"Marshall akabvunza uye Tiffany akati hongu." On September 26, 2020 we got engaged!! That day was beyond special for us. It all started with a little trick from Marshall with the help of Miriam cousin to Marshall friend to Tiffany and also our match maker. We got up early and all dressed up because we were selected photoshoot for a local Philadelphia magazine who was doing a special on Black Love. Of course the magazine article was made up and apart of the plot and in the middle of camera flicks Marshall got down on one knee! What made this moment so special is we were on the Benjamin Parkway and directly across from the restaurant where we had our first date. The surprises did not stop there as we headed for dinner to celebrate the hostess greeted us and walked us to our table only to turn the corner to an outside patio that was filled with our close family and friends cheering in excitement.
"Rega kuverenga kuverengera kwakatanga." We are beyond excited for August 8, 2021 and hope you are as well. Our prayer is that we will be surrounded by all of family and friends on that special day and would LOVE if you can attend!
We also want to ensure that our day is as safe as possibly so we are asking that guest be vaccinated or obtain a negative COVID test within 72 hours of the wedding date.
