The Meeting (First Dates)

We met the old fashioned way... through OkCupid! Although Mario tried to ghost me before our first date, on June 16, 2017 we met at the Bourgeois Pig in Franklin Village - approx halfway between my place in West Hollywood and Mario's in Eagle Rock - and spent the afternoon drinking cold brew and chatting in the tree room. By the middle of our conversation, the second date had already been set for the following evening. This is the first picture we took together, about a week later on one of those early dates.

The Merging (of Homes)

In mid-February 2018, we moved into an apartment a few blocks away from Greenway Court Theatre, where I work full-time. We merged our cats - the noble Bowie and the misfit Hesh - and our lives, and haven't looked back since.

Engagement: The Marrying

I got Tiffany in to "The Life", which is what we planeswalkers call Magic The Gathering. It's a card game where you are a wizard and you fight other wizards. It's the devil, and my second love. (Tiffany is so far ahead in first she's lapping it.) Some times, you play by getting a set of sealed and random packs of cards which you open, and arrange into a serviceable deck of cards.  Tiffany and I knew we were in love fast, and knew we'd be together all the way just a bit slower, so we'd been pretty frank about getting married. All that was left vague was the engagement. Tiffany is nothing if not clear about her wishes, and chief among them was NO PUBLIC SCENES. Thus, our hero endeavored to come up with something surprising and romantic in the comfort of our own home. Inspiration struck me like a one red mana instant  that deals three damage to any target.  I photoshopped and printed up a custom magic card, and slipped it into a "sealed" pack of Magic cards, and got her to play with them. When she opened the seeded pack, i snuck around the table with the engagement ring and cast, "The Question". Clearly swept away with emotion, Tiffany immediately said those beautiful, romantic words, "Oh no". Don't worry, she did get around to saying, "yes". :)
