Where to Stay

Whether you’re traveling from out of state or just want to get away and stay near us throughout our wedding weekend, there are options for you! Below are a few hotel options located in prime areas of the city (ranging between $150-$400 per night):

HOTEL MONACO DC (WEDDING VENUE): Gallery Place/City Center. If you plan to stay at Hotel Monaco, you are welcome to use this booking link for a $179 per night guaranteed rate.

BUSBOYS & POETS: Cultural hub where racial and cultural connections are consciously uplifted. Full- service American restaurant, bar, coffee shop, and bookstore with events spaces that happens to serve AMAZING food and drinks!

DIRTY HABIT (HOTEL MONACO): Anchored in expertly crafted cocktails, innovative social plates, edgy design, and a dramatic urban patio, Dirty Habit offers globally inspired New American share plates and cocktails.

YARDBIRD SOUTHERN TABLE & BAR: James Beard-nominated and award-winning Yardbird Southern Table & Bar is a house of worship to farm-fresh ingredients, classic Southern cooking, hailed bourbon selection, and top-notch hospitality. They serve up a fresh, inventive take on regional Southern fare seven days a week with a foot-stompin’, soul-healin’ brunch on the weekends. Reservations are highly encouraged.

NATIONAL MUSEUM OF AFRICAN AMERICAN HISTORY (NMAAH): Learn about the richness and diversity of the African American experience, what it means to our lives, and how it helped us shape this nation. Admission is free, however tickets must be reserved online WELL ahead of time. 

ANACOSTIA COMMUNITY MUSEUM: Shining a lens on urban life, the Anacostia Community Museum examines, documents and interprets the impact of historical and contemporary social issues on communities.

THROW SOCIAL: Dine, drink, and competitively socialize! Throw Social isn't just a restaurant and bar, they also offer one-of-a-kind experiential entertainment concepts.

ARTECHOUSE: Innovative art space dedicated to showcasing experiential and immersive large scale installations by artists who are forerunners of the new age in arts and technology. Through bringing art, science, technology and creativity together, their goal is to create immersive, sensory art experiences and a digital playground for all ages.
