Welcome to Clinton Hills! Here you can enjoy everything the restored 1959 rustic barn venue has to offer, nestled on Clinton’s picturesque hillside.

Clinton Hills is perfectly located in the golden triangle of PEI’s major centers, Charlottetown, Summerside and Cavendish. As well, we are situated just a short drive from the Confederation Bridge and the primary airport.

Guests pay $2 for bar rail mixed drinks, house wine, canned beer and bride/groom signature drinks.

All other cocktails and premium liquor are at the guests expense.

Cavendish

Located 15 minutes from the wedding venue.

Cavendish is a bustling summer destination on the Island with family-friendly attractions, beautiful beaches and scenic golf courses. It was made famous by Lucy Maud Montgomery’s Anne of Green Gables novels and is centrally located on the North Shore of the Island, nestled between North Rustico and Stanley Bridge. Pristine Cavendish Beach is at the gateway into the Prince Edward Island National Park which itself boasts panoramic views of the shoreline looking out into the Gulf of St. Lawrence.

Green Gables Golf Course: Along with exceptional golf course conditions, this seaside course has stunning views of the famous sand dunes, the ocean and Green Gables House.

Shining Waters Family Fun Park: Explore Shining Waters’ 36-acre waterpark with over 40 wet and dry attractions including a roller coaster, splash pool and waterslides.

Summerside

Located 24 minutes from the wedding venue.

Summerside is the Island’s second-largest city, just 28 km from the Confederation Bridge and gateway to the western end of the Island. It proudly displays its shipbuilding heritage in many century homes, museums, monuments and murals, and the harbour front offers a spray of coastal flavour.

Things to Do and See:
Harbourfront Theatre: This 527 seat, year-round theatre attracts world-class entertainers and hosts a myriad of festivals and events, plays, concerts, opera, ballet, comedy and magic shows.

Eptek Art & Culture Centre: A diverse array of exhibits and programs featuring heritage and history and a gift shop offering an eclectic mix of Island art and crafts.

College of Piping: Performers show off the Island’s Celtic roots with energetic displays of dancing, piping and drumming. Throughout the summer, the College has a busy schedule of ceilidhs and concerts.

Wyatt Historic House Museum: Constructed in 1867, this outstanding old house was the Wyatt family home. It is a remarkable heritage building that has been faithfully restored to its Edwardian beauty and authenticity.

Spinnakers Landing: Summerside’s waterfront marketplace offers an eclectic mix of shops, restaurants and live entertainment with views overlooking Summerside Harbour.

Confederation Trail: Once the railway route across PEI, the walking and biking trail passes through the centre of Summerside and includes a pavilion that marks the birthplace of the TransCanada Trail.

Charlottetown

Located 40 minutes from the wedding venue.

Charlottetown is Prince Edward Island’s vibrant capital with big city attractions on a smaller scale. Historic and famous as the birthplace of Canadian Confederation, Charlottetown’s downtown core has many Victorian-era houses and buildings, a bustling harbour and picturesque waterfront boardwalk. The quaint exterior doesn’t hide Charlottetown’s firm place in the present. This city has it all: top-notch theatre productions, luxurious accommodations, gourmet eateries, local breweries and a multitude of festivals and events.

The Guild: Showcasing Canadian theatre, comedy, musical performances, and visual arts.

Culinary Bootcamps: Unique, hands on, culinary adventures that offer a taste of PEI through a variety of themed culinary experiences at the Canadian Culinary Institute.

Anne of Green Gables Chocolates: Delight your senses with premium quality chocolates made by hand using only the finest of ingredients and watch chocolate covered potato chips made in store.

Beaconsfield Historic House: Built in 1877, this elegant Victorian house is now a museum and invites visitors to view the period rooms. A variety of lectures, concerts and other special events also take place in the Carriage House.

Peake’s Wharf Boat Tours: Tour Charlottetown from the water with an experienced captain while relaxing and enjoying the stories, songs and scenery.

Closest Airport

Charlottetown (YYG)

If you are flying in, Charlottetown is the closest airport. Round-trip direct flights are in the $500 range per person, offered by Porter Airlines. Flight is about 2 hours. We recommend renting a car once you are here.

What should I wear?

Formal/Semi formal attire please; dress to impress. Ceremony will be outside, under tree cover (weather permitting).

What is the bar situation?

We are offering a twoonie bar. Guests pay $2 for bar rail mixed drinks, house wine, canned beer and bride/groom signature drinks. All other cocktails and premium liquor are at the guests expense. We are covering all juice and sodas in full.

Where can I find your registry?

We do not have a registry, but we are accepting, and would be grateful, for a monetary gift towards our honeymoon fund. If you cannot attend the wedding but still wish to contribute to our Honeymoon fund, monetary gifts can be sent to:

How can I get to and from the venue?

We are offering a shuttle service that will pick-up and drop-off at Cavendish and Summerside. Please see the shuttle service schedule above.

How can I get around the island?

We recommend driving to PEI and thus able to explore the island using your own vehicle. It can take 3 hours to get from one side of the island to the other! If you are flying, we recommend renting a vehicle. There are local taxi companies, but remember they are on island time and may not be reliable.

Where can I stay?

Please visit the "Accommodations" tab to check the numerous places listed to stay in Cavendish and Summerside. Please book in advance, as August is a very busy tourism month for Prince Edward Island.

Can I bring my kid(s)?

Only a handful of children have been invited to our wedding - it will be in your formal invitation.
