1 - The Beginning Bianca and Kelvin’s journey began in 2011 when they were just 16 years old and in their junior year at North Cobb High School. Kelvin had recently moved from Ohio to Georgia, and fate had already begun its work. Introduced by a mutual friend who thought it was fitting to connect them as one of the few Nigerians in school, they immediately clicked. From the moment they met, something felt familiar, as though they were meant to cross paths or their hearts were connected... and so it began.
2 - The Dance
For the next few years, they shared an on-and-off whirlwind romance. Kelvin frequently made clear he would marry Bianca one-day, though she believed these mentionings were just the makings of youth. They always danced around the idea of being together, but never fully committed—even giving an exclusive relationship a try that lasted just one week before they broke up! One week. Despite this, the connection between them never truly disappeared.
3 - Time Apart, Hearts Aligned? College took them in different directions, with both of them in other relationships and living in different states. Kelvin was off playing D1 football and Bianca pursuing her dream to become a Physician. Yet every time Bianca returned home, Kelvin found a way to bring them back together—though it would never last! One day, during her sophomore year, she drove hours to visit Kelvin at his football game after a year+ of not speaking to each other, only to lose touch again soon after. It seemed their paths would never fully align…
4 - The Unexpected Apology
By the summer of 2016, after months without contact, Bianca was focused on her MCAT (Medical College Admission Test) when a surprise text from Kelvin came in. This time, it wasn’t just small talk—it was an apology. Kelvin wanted to make things right and heal the wounds of their past. Though the apology moved Bianca, she didn’t feel the same spark when they met in person a few weeks later nor did she trust Kelvin. Little did she know, that spark was only hidden, waiting for the right moment to ignite.
5 - Sparks Reignited: Divine Timing Fast forward to the end of 2017: Bianca was dating someone else, when a text from Kelvin lit up her phone. Without thinking, she jumped up and texted him back. Though she wasn’t planning to rekindle any romance, something inside her shifted. The next day, she ended her current relationship and soon after rededicated her life to Christ.
In this same period, Kelvin and Bianca reconnected as friends, texting daily and spending hours on FaceTime. Slowly, those familiar feelings returned, but this time it was different—there was peace, maturity, and a deeper understanding of one another. Within months, God made it clear to both of them: they were meant to be together.
By January 3rd, 2019, they exchanged vows in an intimate ceremony, surrounded by select friends and family. Their love, strengthened by faith and patience, had finally come full circle. Now, almost six years later, they get to celebrate their love in front of the ones they love most—the Winter Wonderland wedding they had always dreamed of!
