Train from Milan to Lake Como
There are two mainline railway stations in Como:
• Como Nord Lago
• Como San Giovanni
They are about a 5-10 minute drive from each other (20-minute walk). Both stations are less than 10 minutes away from Hilton Lake Como.
If coming from Milan Malpensa Airport (MXP)
First, take the train to Saronno and then change platforms for trains bound for Como Nord Lago.
• From Malpensa to Saronno ~20 minutes
• Saronno to Como Nord Lago ~45 minutes
Usually trains to go to Como Nord Lago depart from Platform 2 but check the departure screens.
If coming from the center of Milan
Take the direct train from Milano Centrale to either railway stations in Como. I would suggest taking the Freece train which will approximately take 40 minutes to get to Como. One-way prices start at 4,80-12,80€. They run almost every hour.
