THINGS TO DO

MARBELLA OLD TOWN (This is where the Church service will take place):

The picturesque and historic old town is more traditional and a little hidden gem. With its ancient, picturesque architecture, and a maze of steep cobbled streets, galleries, boutiques, bars and restaurants.

Orange Square is located in the Old Town and is an Andalucian square with lots of tropical plants and orange trees at the centre. It is must-see where you can sit in one of the traditional cafes and enjoy a glass of wine, coffee or a traditional Spanish tapas.

PUERTO BANUS:

A small port located 15 minutes from Marbella centre. It has a range of facilities, such as beaches on either side, plenty of water sports, bars and restaurants, casino and golf. This is where you will also find your more upmarket fashion boutiques down by the water with a large shopping centre called El Corte Ingles.

Every Saturday morning there is a really good market in Puerto Banus which is from 9am - 2pm. Highly recommend for a bargain!

In terms of nightlife, Puerto Banus The Golden Mile is where all the main action takes place. There is a range of more casual wine bars to clubs along the strip here. For those with more stamina, nightclubs have a license until 6 to 7 am on weekends!

A FEW RECOMMENDED MARBELLA BEACHES:

Trocadero Arena is a 10 minute drive from Marbella Centre and is a chilled out beach with Mediterranean signature cuisines with touches of fusion. Its menu offers sushi dishes, lobster sashimi and local seafood. It also does a great Spanish Paella.

Los Sardinales is a typical Spanish seafood restaurant which has great views of the beach and an open terrace. This beach is more of a local relaxed environment and is child-friendly. Sardinales offers great fish, shellfish, meats, rice dishes and other typically Spanish dishes . There are also sun lounges at this beach so you can chill during the day in between grabbing a drink and some food.

Mistral Beach is located near to Puerto Banus and is a great all round beach if you are not only looking for traditional Spanish tapas but they offer Water Sports.

La Sala by the Sea is s a beach club inspired by Thailand, located in front of the beach at Puerto Banús. It offers three tropical bars, a Thai restaurant, pool, hot tub and a Zen spa. Everything overlooking the Mediterranean Sea.

GOLF GOLF GOLF

The Costa del Sol is one of the leading golfing regions in Europe and currently boasts 57 golf courses giving it the nickname Costa del Golf! There are some amazing courses to choose from and plenty around Puerto banus and Marbella areas. If you don't want to bring your clubs with you, then there is a great company called www.clubstohire.com who allow you to book a set, pick them up at Malaga airport on your arrival and then simply return when you fly out. You would be stupid not to!
