What to bring

Bali is HOT ! even in the rainy season. Bring light dresses, shorts, t-shirts, flip flops. Don't forget to bring clothes that cover a little more as well if you want to visit any temples.

There are numerous amounts of chemists in bali, but one thing we have learnt over our trips is to make sure we pack all the right medications if you need any otherwise pack the basics for the just in case. I always take with me.

- panadol

- hand sanitizer

- Neseau relief

- dioreha relief

- daily immune defense ( honestly swear by these 4x to bali and have not been sick )

- insect repellent

keeping charge on your phone is a must especially for photo taking so we always take a portable charger with us.

the power points are Indonesian I have attached a photo of the plug you need you can get them from Kmart for $5

Itinerary

If you want to join in with us on anything please free too we can't wait to spend time with you all.

We are supplying a selection of the following alchol, Our villa is however BYO so if there is something particular you would like to drink on the day, Grab it from duty free on your way in, There will be free flowing mixers for you to use.

You are allowed 25 cigarettes, plus 1 open pack or 25mg tobacco into Australia for each traveler over 18 years of age.

Travel

Indonesia requires a minimum six months validity on your passport from your entry date into Bali. If travelling on an Australian passport, you can get a free visa on arrival into bali.

Upon arrival points to note !!

Carry your own luggage don't let anyone take your bags off you.

Organise airport pickup Or use BLUEBIRD taxi service only and ask them to go by the meter.

Traffic is actually horrible in bali so please if you plan on staying in seminyak or kuta allow at least 2 hours travel time to get to our wedding villa, for this reason we do recommend staying in Canggu for at least the night before the wedding and night of wedding 19th & 20th October Canggu is around a 30 minute drive to our villa.

Travel insurance is a must head to compare the market and you will be able to find some good rates there. volcanic ash eruptions occur in bali and can close down the airports so we highly recommend insurance please just check with the policy provider to make sure this is covered.

Children In Bali

Children are welcome to our wedding day, we are going to have nannys to watch out for them. And even for your trip you can hire a nanny to come along to wherever you are to watch them. Our wedding villa is beach front and it does have 3 open pools with no fencing. We will have a kids corner for them to play in but please if they can not swim even with the nannys around please keep an eye on your children.

Another really important factor is to make sure they do not drink the water, even when they are having a bath or shower please keep the water away from there mouths. and make sure they dont drink pool water this can bring on a nasty virus as bali is a third world country and there water supply is not safe.

We would hate for anything to happen to them or if they were to get sick it ruin your trip. x

Money

From experience we have found that its best to change a little money here first so that when you land you have cash ready. Keep only small amounts on you every day we usually work on $100 - $150 per person each day.. If all activities are already paid for. You will find you wont go anywhere near spending that much in one day and then other days you may spend more all depends on what you have planned.

A popular method is taking cash & exchanging with money changers when needed. We always keep our cash well hidden in our hotel rooms or in the safe along with passports ect. Be vigilant during your transactions and make sure you are the LAST person to count your money, before handing it over and count it in front of them first. Its best to go to a reputable money exchanger and NOT the ones at the rear of shops or who offer higher rates then the banks. The exchange rates ending in '99' is a good sign that the place is dodgy.

ATM'S - Skimming is frequent these day. As above, be vigilant & always cover your pin when entering it. Check the ATM first for any loose parts. If it looks dodgy then do not use it.

Bali Belly

So in my experience ( hayley speaking ) I am an absolute crazy person when it comes to drinking eating and hygiene in bali. I have been 4 times and i have not been sick.

Ill share my method and hopefully it will help you too, I mean you do get a little bit of tummy pains but only because the food is so different i just stick to the same routine and im a ok.

Before my trip I start taking imune defense tablets you can get these from any chemist i take 1 a day at least a week out and then i take 1 every day whilst in bali.

I drink bottled water only, and if i get a drink from a restaurant or hotel i ask for no ice. They generally all use pre purchased ice now so just double check.

If you do however end up getting bali belly you can contact a doctor and they will come to your room and give u an injection you will be back in no time.
