June 4 - the day when our individual lifetime stories took a turn and became one - when you least expect it....Iris Rooftop Bar, where we have met for the first time.
Benjamin was attending a wedding in Lebanon of common friends and Ghinwa joined one of the gatherings. Ghinwa posts a story and had to tag everyone including Benjamin, and from there onward, oh well who would have said.
Our first trip together, whereby each landed in a different airport.
It was Benjamin's first time to Istanbul and Ghinwa's sixth time yet never gets enough. From discovering Balat neighbourhood to enjoying a great steak meal at Nusr-Et, we both had a blast.

Our first road trip in Austria was to a picture-perfect town named Hallstatt. This was once a quiet place, off the radar for many European visitors (including Austrians). Yet, in recent years, Hallstatt has become one of the most popular places, so we decided to give it a shot.
As Hallstatt has such an important meaning to us, Benjamin decided to propose there as well. Not sure what will happen next time we show up there...
Lockdown in Saudi Arabia turned out to be a blessing. Like everyone else we tried all kind of challenges, cooked, baked, danced and when lockdown came to an end we decided to explore KSA.

Jebel Fihrayn as it is also known, is located about 90km from Saudi’s capital and roughly a 90-minute drive. The site earned its nickname because from atop the escarpment, you have an uninterrupted view of the horizon.
It was Benjamin's second time there, yet Ghinwa's very first time.

Borders still closed and only internal travel was allowed, thus we decided to travel during the Adha Holidays 2020 to Jeddah - city by the Red Sea.
What a beautiful surprise it was.
If a glass of wine is good for you, imagine what a bottle would do.
After ten months straight in Saudi Arabia, we hit Lebanon - a very much needed change of the scenery. As you can see the weather was beautiful in early December, a view, a glass of wine and good food. What else do we need?
Because we both know what matters most: hanging in there + Gin.
Last Christmas apart - 2020.
Yes you can set a timer and have such shots even when alone, but a high risk of breaking your mobile.
When covid cases were increasing and none of us wanted to take the risk and mingle with others or go to crowded places, we explored nature instead and made sure we are safe. Just the two of us.
You only see the good side on social media, yet things don't always work as planned and we still made the best out of it: Long distance Valentine date!
It started at 12 PM and ended at 12 AM, cheers!
We could not not celebrate after a whole year Ghinwa not being able to travel to Austria.
And what a nice comeback or as a friend once said: Ghinwa got to Vienna as a girlfriend, stayed as a fiancée and left as a wife!
True marriage is more than joining the bonds of two persons; it is the union of two hearts. It lives on the love you give each other and never grows old, but thrives on the joy of each new day. Marriage is love.
