Favorite thing about this relationship: The best part of being with Arlicia is that I truly feel I am in a relationship with my bestfriend
“In marriage I’m looking forward to experiencing the next stage of love. In this stage I plan on giving my all in which I want to be understanding, honest, resilient, teachable, and always yearning for growth. I met my soulmate in Arlicia and know that this is the woman God put her on this earth for me to serve and mend my life with until the end of my days.”

Meeting one another as group members, I had no intention on exploring any relationships. Although I wasn’t looking, I was always down for a good time to see the new city and state I had recently moved too! Eric invited me all across NC to see what it had to offer me. It wasn’t a coincidence I started to fall for him through our constant adventures of travel, trials and triumphs of our Masters program, and everyday laughs and deep conversation. It was only right to make him my man!

Our First Christmas is one we will never forget. It felt natural as if we had been together for years. This picture is a clear representation of us from getting the pups to cooperate to us laughing at how I’m picking this huge dog up to get him to stay still.

Our first Baecation was lit as it was a roller coaster of experiences. It was adventurous, romantic, and life changing. Funny story I tried to show off by going to play in a basketball tournament to win Arlicia one of the cruise medals and I ended up getting hurt and not able to walk. Not only was I hurt I couldn’t even contact her so she knew what was going on. As I laid on the ground with my eyes closed waiting for ice I opened my eyes and saw my angel standing over top of me. She couldn’t help but smile as she immediately tried to comfort me. From that moment I knew just how connected two people could be without ever needing to utter a word she knew I needed her help and it was at this moment I knew I was gonna make her my wife.

Our one year anniversary was simple but thoughtful, we were in the middle of the pandemic but we made the best of it! We were very stressed and overwhelmed because we were studying for our exit and licensure exams, our graduation date was push back 4 months due to Covid, and we were beginning our search for a home in a different state. It was A LOT but little did I know Eric was under a bit more stress...

A day to remember it started with us looking for a new home in our soon to be new city of Atlanta. We spent the day looking at different areas and eating some good food. To end our trip we went to the botanical gardens where I set up a Photogapher to secretly meet us and pretend to take pictures for a school project. Arlicia expected nothing was up as I quote she whispered to me and said see this is what happens when your a superstar lol. As the stroll continued I got down on one knee to make things official as I was filled with emotions to ask her to be my Wife. Once she said yes our proposal wedding shoot began as we both were in shock of how we not only are getting married with a wedding to plan but we are moving to our dream city within a month.

It's official, we are getting married, we graduated our programs, and moved to Atlanta! 2020 was crazy from start to finish, I would never imagine the year would have just as many highs than it did lows. Geeting through this year together, makes me excited for our future! 2021 is another year of love and opportunity, see you at the alter!
