The Start

We began dating when we were 14. After coercing Ryan into giving out his number, we began texting each other every day. After 8 days of texting I asked Ryan when he was going to ask me out. He responded by saying, “I didn’t know I was supposed to.” We’ve been happily together ever since.

All About Taylor

Birthday: October 31st, 1995

Parents: Nicky & David Cody

Favorite Food: Capt’n Crunch or cotton candy - too close to call

Pet Peeves: People who talk over me and people who think their short jokes are original

Current Job: Infant & Toddler head supervisor - Summit School

Full-time Graduate Student: University of Wisconsin - Marriage & Family Therapy

What I love about him: What I love the most about Ryan is his consistent willingness to put my needs above his own. Little things and big things. He will do all of the dishes even if he hasn’t dirtied one of them, always. When possible, he will change his schedule if it improves my day even the slightest bit. But the big things: anticipating my needs before I’m even realize I need something. Being so aware of my internal state that I don’t need to tell him when I’m upset, and rarely do I need to say why. Ryan puts 100% into everything that he pursues, but always make sure to put 110% into me.

All About Ryan

Parents: Kara LeVahn & Troy Dahnke

Favorite Things to Do: Work-out, do things with my hands, be with Taylor, and watch the Vikings win

Pet Peeves: When I'm asked to multitask, bad drivers (especially in the winter. If you live in Minnesota there is no excuse), and when something isn't working like how it should.

Current Job: Full-time Firefighter for the City of Duluth

What I love about her: I know A lot of people say that they’re so lucky to get to marry their best friend but I don’t think many people can say it like I can. She has been my best friend for the last 10 years and as we grew up together she helped shape me into the man I am today. She is the one that has been there through the lowest of lows and is the one how encouraged me to drop everything to chase my dream job. And now that I have it there isn’t a day I don’t think about the fact that I wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for her. A lot of crazy things can happen over 10 years and I have never met anyone more resilient, stronger, and passionate than my girl. With as amazing my life has been with her so far, I’m even more excited for what our future together has to offer.
