Once upon a time, Doug and Daniela met on Tinder while they were both living in Texas. Sparks flew immediately after Doug started the conversation with the best gangster owl meme. They exchanged numbers and conversation until they went on their first date to perhaps the worst movie ever. Despite the movie, they felt a strong connection and immediately spent almost every minute together the next 4 days. Despite the new budding relationship, Doug moved back to New York after two weeks. *womp womp*

A year of long distance was not without their adventures. They spent time in Seattle, Portland, Long Beach, Manhattan, San Antonio, Dallas, Baton Rouge, and New Orleans.

After a year of long distance, Daniela had decided it was time to move with Doug to New York. Doug flew down to Dallas and packed up her stuff, including her 16lb cat, Chubs. The long drive from Texas to New York was not without peril as on the way home they encountered Daniela's first Nor’easter. She believed that in that moment she would die behind the salt truck, in a white out, on a mountain in West Virginia. After successfully living through her first real snowstorm, she was ready to be a true New Yorker. It wasn't long until they bought their house together in Middletown, New York.

Just because they lived together does not mean the adventures had to stop. Daniela had major surgery. Daniela had a career change and Doug moved his specialty. A pandemic occurred. A tiny chihuahua, Bud, was adopted. Daniela got a new career. They have had good times and bad, but throughout it all they always find time to make each other laugh and do things they love.

Due to the pandemic, they decided to have a small ceremony on the beach in Texas. On June, 12, 2021 Daniela and Doug exchanged vows while Daniela's sister, Gabby, officiated the wedding.
