How We Know Each Other: Katie is my older cousin and the closest thing I have to a sister.

How We Met: The first thing I remember is fighting with Katie over a bear with an ice cream cone nose at our Grandma's house.

Madeline Deitrick
Sister of the Groom

How We Met: I met Madeline when I first came to San Diego to visit Hayden over the summer. I remember that she wanted to come with us when we took our first trip of many to Disneyland.

K
Kristen Mayo
Elementary School Friend

How We Know Each Other: Kristen has been one of my best friends since elementary school

How We Met: First day of third grade Kristen became my best friend because she was reading Harry Potter. The next day she gave me a card that read "I think I have a friend and it's you!" We have kept the card and exchanged it with one another several times throughout our friendship.

Favorite Memory: Kristen's Halloween parties were always amazing. I will always remember spending all day practicing the opening skit with her and setting up her whole house in decor.

J
Julia Sharkey
College Friend / Rugby Teammate

How We Know Each Other:  Sharkey (Her name is Julia Sharkey but only Hayden refers to her as "Julia") was my closest friend on my rugby team and watched over Hayden for me while I spent a semester in Africa and became the Harry to our Ron and Hermione.

How We Met: Shark was one of the first girls to introduce herself to me at my first Rugby practice and then promptly knock me to the ground.

Favorite Memory: Sitting in the summer sun drinking at our favorite brewery, River City,  in Spokane.

K
Kristi Jensen
High School Friend

How We Know Each Other:  Kristi has been one of my closest friends from Middle school to high school and on.

How We Met: I have actually know Kristi since middle school when we hung out in a group known stupidly as "The Six Chicks"

Favorite Memory : On 14th birthday Kristi and another friend choreographed and performed a dance number to Brittney Spears' song " Do Something". There was a lot of 90's clothing and dance moves.

D
Danielle Dexter
High School Friend

How We Know Each Other: Danielle has been a close friend since the first week of high school

How We Met: We met at the first week of volleyball practice before high school had started. Before this,  I originally thought Danielle was a twin because she and a friend use to wear matching outfits to middle school dances and looked very similar. I soon found out this girl has her own sense of self that no one can match.

Favorite Memory: Danielle loves R&B just like me. We would jam out over my Pretty Ricky CD all of the time.

M
Meaghan Moran
High School Friend

How We Know Each Other:  Meaghan has been a close friend from High School through Gonzaga

How We Met: Meg and I met playing for our high school's basketball feeder team. One of our first games no one else except for Meaghan and I showed up due to a snowstorm

Favorite Memory:   Winning our intermural basketball championship our Freshmen year at Gonzaga. Winning a championship shirt was a great honor and Gonzaga and we did it with an all Freshmen team.

T
Theresa Galgano

How We Know Each Other: Theresa is a close friend from high school

How We Met: We sat with each other a High school orientation where we watched classmates eat things like whole cheeseballs and uncooked spam in one bite.

Favorite Memory:  Instead of going to a Valentine's Day Dance, Tess and I decided to head downtown and do our own Valentine's Day party but we didn't think about it being the busiest day for restaurants so we ended up at Chili's and still had a great time.

Favorite Memory: Traversing Munich at night, searching out one last beer

Jason Fielder
Best Man

How We Know Each Other: Jason has been my best friend since before I can even remember. We went to school together from age 5 until high school.

How We Met: We met in Mrs. Hansen's kindergarten classroom. As Jason describes it, I was the hyperactive kid he decided to put up with.

Favorite Memory: There are honestly too many memories to count, but I'd say it would have to be attending a Clemson Tigers football game our senior year or road tripping to watch Gonzaga in the Final Four.

Rick Mikesell
Brother of the Bride

How We Know Each Other: Rick is Suzanne's oldest brother. He is much taller than me and knows considerably more about fishing than I do.

How We Met: We met the first time I visited Suzanne's family in Denver. We got to know each other better the second time I visited Denver, which was for his wedding.

Favorite Memory: Exchanging text messages whenever his Colorado Rockies play (and typically defeat) my San Diego Padres

Steven Mikesell
Brother of the Bride

How We Know Each Other: Steve is Suzanne's older brother. Like Rick, he is also much taller than me.

How We Met: I distinctly remember meeting Steve the first time I visited Sue's family in Denver. He walked me out front and gave me the skinny on what to expect from the Mikesell clan.

Favorite Memory: Steve and Rick surprised Sue for her 21st birthday in Spokane. After drinking both Sue and I under the table, Steve asked where the closest liquor store was. He and Rick would proceed to go fishing early the next morning.

Carson Kiesewetter
College Roommate

How We Know Each Other: Carson was part of the Hogan Program at Gonzaga and was my roommate in The Renaissance Man House senior year.

How We Met: Carson and I had our honors entrepreneurship course followed directly by business computing class. After the first class we walked to class together. He was wearing a Chicago Bulls hoodie, and a flat brim hat, and all I thought was this guy thought he was so hood. I was right.

Favorite Memory: When we went to Priest Lake, ID and Carson kept reminding anyone who would listen that he was "an all state kicker"

Eric Kohan
College Roommate

How We Know Each Other: Eric and I were hallmates freshman year and roommates sophomore and junior year at Gonzaga. We shared many tents for Gonzaga basketball tickets and played on all the same intramural teams.

How We Met: Eric and I met in Dev Westermeyer's room freshman year on the first day of orientation. Pretty sure he still owns the exact same lime green Seahawks shirt.

Favorite Memory: Winning the intramural ultimate frisbee championship our freshman year. Up 9-6, I looked at Eric and asked if he had one more touchdown catch in him and told him to go long, turns out he did have one more in him.

Austin Hunter
College Roommate

How We Know Each Other: Austin was part of the Hogan Program at Gonzaga and was my roommate in The Renaissance Man House senior year.

How We Met: Austin and I met on Facebook before our freshman year. At the time his profile picture was just him in a red morph suit. Our conversations were limited to who was the bigger Gonzaga basketball fan. I think today we still call it a tie.

Favorite Memory: As pictured, Austin's flamingo outfit always made for a fun time. As did his impressive collection of colorful running shorts and spandex he wore as we won an intramural volleyball championship together.

Chris Maskevich
High School Friend

How We Know Each Other: Chris and I played little league baseball together and went to Coronado High School together. He is the older brother I always wanted.

How We Met: Chris and I met playing baseball, but really became friends in Mr. Merrill's spanish class.

Favorite Memory: When Jason and I coached the Powder Puff football game against Chris and we could see him visibly yelling at the referees on the sideline. Afterwords he drove Jason and I to Chick Fil A, a tradition in high school.
