The General Plan

The village has on site accommodation which can host a good chunk of our guests. As we receive your RSVP’s, we will prioritise village accommodation for guests who are staying the full weekend and will do our best to fit everyone in. Once your RSVP is complete, we can let you know if you will be staying in the village or if you can avail of any of the other options available… also we understand some people prefer to arrange their own accommodation and that’s totally fine just let us know.

If not staying in the village, our recommendation will be to stay in the beautiful 4 star Le collège des Doctrinaires in Lectoure we have stayed here ourselves and situated in the centre of Lectoure it’s a great spot to base yourself. The hotel has free access to the Thermal Spa in Lectoure accessed via a tunnel under the road. This historic hotel is recently renovated to the highest standard. We have block booked some rooms and arranged for a special discount rate for those attending the wedding over the weekend here, we will share details of how to avail of this once we receive your RSVP.
We will plan regular shuttles from Lectoure to the village so that anyone staying away from the village will have easy access to all events or just to enjoy the village over the weekend. So, you won’t have to worry about getting to the festivities.

If neither of those options suit, take a look at the other options we recommend below

Staying in the Village

Venue Accommodation

There are 14 cottages spread around the village some are 800 years old! They sleep between 3–16 people we will have a room picked for you when you arrive so all you’ll need to do is ramble through the village and find your room. All houses are charming and full of character, each room has its own unique character some have low ceilings and beams that you’ll need to duck under…some have floor to ceiling windows. Each house is unique and we are sure that the weekend will mean plenty of mingling and gathering in different houses. They are typical ‘rustic’ french houses most with Kitchens. (Rustic is another way of saying.... basic/beautiful!)

Cottage facilities:
All bed linen provided
All bath towels provided
Pool towels available
Tea and coffee provided in each house
Homemade jam in each kitchen provided
Hairdryers in each bathroom
Iron and ironing boards available
Washing machine and dryer available
Wifi available in most houses.
Car park onsite

For your info: The village has no shops or restaurants. Most cottages have kitchens and they all have fridges.
Food and drinks will be provided all weekend so you shouldn’t need any but feel free to buy extra snacks just in case.
If you have a rental car this is very easy, Lectoure is a 10 minute drive and there is a large supermarket there. Otherwise it’s about 20euros to get to the supermarket in a taxi.

Recommended Hotel

Doctrinaires - Lectoure

Over the course of our grueling reconnaissance trips to France we have had a chance to try some of the accommodation outside of the village and are delighted to be able to recommend the Hôtel Collège des Doctrinaires in Lectoure. This beautiful old hotel is in the heart of Lectoure, the hotel has been recently refurbished, is gorgeous inside and out and has free access to the thermal spa in Lectoure, (via an underground tunnel!)

We’ve got a 5% discount for all of our guests stays and we have 20 rooms on hold for the moment.

One little piece of advice is not to book the breakfast in the hotel, the town of Lectoure has far better options only a short stroll away from the hotel. Each room has got a kitchenette so you can always stock up on a few bits for the mornings.

The thermal Spa requires tight swimming clothes (no baggy shorts) so come prepared if you'd like to use the spa.

Per night rates are as follows for our guests:

Studio Deluxe : 118€
Suite Deluxe : 132€
Suite Honneur : 156€
Suite Executive : 170€
Appartement Privilège : 256€

Here are the hotel booking instructions...

The hotel needs to be booked through the website: www.doctrinaires.fr/
When making the booking it will ask for your card details for a 30% deposit.
Once you’ve made the booking, you then have to email the hotel, their email address is:
doctrinaires@valvital.fr
The content should be as follows:
*Subject - Susie and Craig Wedding Booking

After the hotel has received your email, they will apply the discount to the booking and then take your 30% deposit.
The remaining balance is then paid at check-in

There are pictures on the website, and details of each type of room available.

Additional services:

The hotel has got some baby cots available on request so please request these early if required.

Extra beds (roll away or sofa bed) are 30€ per night. (if booking a suitable room)

Other Options

Alternative accomadation

If you don’t fancy the village or Lectoure or can’t find anywhere you like then La Romieu is also close (15 mins) and Condom (yes you heard correctly) is 25 mins drive.

In addition to the hotels in the area there are many “Gites” or holiday rental apartments/house that can be rented and we have a list of recommended ones available on request.

We encourage you to book as soon as you possibly can as we will plan our shuttles around how many stays in Lectoure.
