Suruchi and Karan

That Suruchi and Karan would end up together may not have come as a surprise to those who've known them for long. They attended the same school in their hometown of Vadodara, India since they were four years old and even dated briefly in high school - but their path to coming together many years later was more winding than your typical high school romance.

It was 2016 when Suruchi, fresh out of grad school in Pittsburg, was moving out west to live the Silicon Valley techie life. Little did she know that at the same time, Karan was also packing up life his life in Mumbai and moving to San Francisco. As fellow Bay Area transplants, they were able to help each other get adjusted to the NorCal life - Saturday morning hikes in place of late Friday night parties, lychee boba tea instead of Starbucks, and avocado toasts for breakfast replacing the waffles.

It wasn't long before they (re-)started their long-distance relationship (Mountain View to San Francisco on a weekday is quite a LONG drive) based on their shared love for Bollywood romcoms, pretentious cocktails at San Francisco's finest establishments, and general openness for new experiences in life. Karan was drawn to Suruchi's zest for life and understated goofiness, while Suruchi couldn't resist Karan's cool-as-a-cucumber attitude and penchant for bad jokes.

Now, after nearly 5 years (back) together and having shared a number of life milestones in the past 18 months despite the pandemic, the time is right for them to officially tie the knot, and they couldn't be more excited to celebrate with you!
