DOES THE HOTEL HAVE A SHUTTLE?
The hotel provides complimentary round-trip transportation from the airport, every 30 minutes to 1 hour.The shuttle is great because you get to relax in air-conditioning with a cold beer while you get the check-in process started, so you can save some time once you arrive at the hotel.
*The hotel is about an hour from the airport. The shuttle will take approximately 2 hours because it stops at every terminal within the airport.
*Please keep in mind that some of the restaurants have a dress code for dinner, so be sure to bring some more formal options aside from your wedding attire.
IS THERE WIFI?
High speed internet is available throughout the entire property as well as in guest rooms. And did we mention that IT'S FREE?

We recommend that you download the app, "Whatsapp" prior to your arrival in Mexico. This will allow you to text or call anyone back home through wi-fi, and it's totally free also. No need to worry about getting an international data plan on your cell phone. Just keep your phone on airplane mode the entire time and you'll still be connected to anyone who has to miss the fun.
DOLLARS OR PESOS?
There is really no need to exchange dollars to pesos as American dollars are generally accepted everywhere in Rivieria Maya. Just make sure to bring lots of $1 bills to tip the staff giving you exceptional service. ;)

Get a relaxing massage in one of 15 cabins nestled in natural rock, or spend a few hours indulging in the hydrotherapy circuit. Other services include facials, body wraps, standard salon services such as manicures, hair cuts/styling and make-up as well as other body and face aesthetics.
WHY MEXICO?
It's no surprise that we love to travel... Playa del Carmen is breathtakingly beautiful, relatively easy to get to and also affordable. It offers everything you could ever dream of wanting from a vacation and we know you will absolutely love it!
ISN'T MEXICO DANGEROUS?
No need to worry!
We love each and every person we've invited to our wedding and would never ask them to do anything, especially on our behalf, that we felt would put them in danger. That being said, parts of Mexico are considered very dangerous and we wouldn't recommend traveling to them unless you're pretty familiar.
The good news is that these areas are nowhere near where we're going! In fact, the closest "do not travel" area is over 22 hours away.
WHAT ABOUT ZIKA?
Have no fear!
The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) has no current Zika virus notice for Mexico, However, the resort does spray the property one to two times per day all year long to prevent mosquitoes. Additionally, the hotel has bug spray available, and it's also available at any of the Parks. If you're still worried, feel free to bring your own trusted bug deterrent from home, but we feel pretty confident that you'll be just fine.
HOW LONG SHOULD I STAY IN MEXICO?
As long as you can!
Sunshine, perfect weather, white sand beaches and all-inclusive service will make you wish you never had to leave, so don't cut your trip short if you don't have to! We want you to be able to enjoy a vacation that doesn't just revolve around the wedding.
With the added Parks included with your stay, we recommend spending a full week in Mexico to get a good mix of relaxation and activities.
WHY HOTEL XCARET? CAN I STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE?
One of the things that's most exciting to us about this trip (besides getting married!) is getting the most important people in our lives - our friends and families - in one place at the same time! We did extensive research and carefully selected this venue, making sure it checked off all the boxes that we knew were important to both us and you. We can assure you that Hotel Xcaret definitely fit the bill!
To participate in all of the wedding-related activities, you must stay at Hotel Xcaret Mexico as part of the wedding group. This means that you are staying at the hotel for at least 3 nights. If you want to extend your trip longer than that, please do! However, if you would like to stay somewhere else, we certainly can't stop you. If you choose to do so, you will need to purchase a day pass in order to attend the wedding which is $120 plus taxes. This pass allows you to come to the hotel for the wedding events
